Well worth the expense
Not all solar lights are created equal, but these are truly top-notch. Unlike many competitors, these solar LED strips are fully waterproof and impressively bright color. The standout feature, however, is the double-sided tape. If you have never worked with LED strips before, this backing makes a massive difference. Installing 20 feet or more of lighting using standard glue is incredibly difficult and time-consuming, whereas these are quick and easy to set up. As a final tip, I highly recommend applying a tiny drop of super glue to the very ends of the strips to ensure they stay permanently secure. They are a bit expensive but in my opinion your get what you pay for. These are worth the cost.

Great Solar LED Option- Don’t Cut It
I purchased the Brighttown 66ft solar LED light strip in warm white. I purchased this twice for two separate retaining walls. If it were possible, I would give this a 3.5 rating due to issues and unknowns.I do really like the product. It lights up my front garden very well (so yes, it’s fun). I wish it didn’t show the individual LED spots as much as it does, but the options for solar powered COB light strips in this length are limited and/or expensive. Therefore, the value is pretty good. I purchased mine on sale for $40.The installation is fine- it is comparable to any other LED light strip installation and it is contingent for your area. I did reinforce the backing with cement glue as I attached this to the under and back sides of the retaining walls. I didn’t want to find out the hard way if the adhesive was strong enough. At 6am, the lights were still dimly on, so battery life at the start seems good. TBD on long term use.The problem I have with this product is that it specifically lists it can be cut to length. “They can also be cut to the marked intervals to meet your specific length requirements.” Since my walls are curved, the best way to get an accurate fit was to adhere it to the wall (after confirming it worked, which it did) and then cutting it at the spot it needed cut. It was at this point that I ran into issues; about 18” of the installed strip basically went out. I tried trimming it a little more at different spots on the strip- directly over the copper lines, next to the copper lines- and the strip would regain brightness for that split second during the snip and then fade back to barely being on. Because of this, I don’t know how long this will last before more of the strip dies out, so my outlook on its durability is low.Again, I really like how much it added to my garden, but I cut it and it basically stopped working. Since it’s already installed I am keeping it until I see more of the strip go out.

Thin/For Smaller Areas
Ordered these to put around a picnic table outside. They have multiple lighting modes and they come pretty much ready to use. They charge quickly and last a decent amount of time. My only real issues with them are that they are really thin and not super sturdy. When you purchase these, know that just because they are rope lights does not mean they are thick rope lights. They won't work for the area I intended, but I think they could be used for a smaller, more enclosed area. They are bright relative to their size, but if you are looking for lights that brighten a large space, I would go with larger lights.

They were worth getting
Loved these lights. They turned our patio area into a nice intimate space for bonfires/get togethers. However a tree branch did fall on them during a storm & snapped the cord. I would've bought another set but my husband had bought a different set before I could replace them.
