Well made and strong

I have a new (to me) boat. I've been looking for an item I can quickly add to an anchor line in the summer when we stop at a beach at one of our local lakes. I wanted to have a bit of give when other boat wakes rolled through without having my anchor pull loose. Enter these Geelu bungee dock lines. Your $25.00 gets you two bungee equipped dock lines. I envision approaching the beach and dropping my main anchor with the 6' bungee dock line tied in as the aforementioned buffer. I would also run an additional line off the stern and secure it on shore, again, with the other 4' bungee dock line as a second buffer. The two buffers would allow a small amount of movement from wakes or wind but the boat would remain secure and facing out to open water. These dock lines come with a hefty stainless steel clip one end (see pics). The clip is not wussy and kids would have difficulty holding it open. It's that strong. On the other end is a nice tied and spliced in loop with a sleeve if you want to cinch it down over a cleat (see pics). Both the clip end and the loop end have black foam floats. A nice touch. I tried the clip out on one of my bow cleats (see pic) and there was no fear of it coming loose. I also linked both dock lines together and stretched them out. You get a pretty good distance should you decide to use them together (see pic). Side note: The rope is polypropylene. They are generally durable but do not leave them out in the sun when your boat/jet ski is in storage. They will deteriorate from prolonged exposure. Now, if it would stop raining and get warmer I could actually test these out on the water! Five stars for now.

Ok so full disclaimer, I have no idea how well this works with boats/docks etc. I got this bc I needed a bungee cord to try to jerry rig my 6ft privacy fence to a tree that is growing right next to it. My fence posts are starting to rot in some areas and I just don't have the money for a repair at this moment. The fence was leaning at about a 40 degree angle into my neighbors yard. SOOOO, what do you do when money is tight? improvise! This bungee cord was actually perfect for the job. It's thick and strong and has metal clips at the ends. It came with two bungees, one at 6ft and the other at 4ft. I needed them both for my fence saving project. these cords are successfully holding about 4 sections of old privacy fence up. I mention that they're old to give you an idea of the weight (old damp wood). I'm sure these would work amazing for a boat as they're intended. However they're also great for jerry rigging stuff when you're broke.

These mooring lines look to be pretty solid. The manufacturer claims the carabiners are stainless steel, and the rope (Pe, per the mfr.) is either polyester (probably) or polyethylene.Both lines have all of the features a boater would want for speed and efficiency. The larger of the two lines is probably overkill for most smaller vessels - it's a pretty heavy-duty mooring line - but it doesn't seem long enough to work with larger vessels. The smaller line is just right for every jon boat, flat or vee bottom boat, fishing boat, canoe and kayak out there.I do have some concerns about the rope material. Most plastic ropes which I've had experience with don't weather well at all. They fade and get brittle after 2-3 years outdoors. For this reason, I'd caution that these mooring lines should be used for day trips, and stored out of the sun when not in use. I would not use them as permanent mooring. For that service, stick with nylon.
