Almost 100% hatch rate! *by E***H on September 2, 2024* We wanted to incubate some eggs to have offspring of our Silkie roo so we purchased this device. Overall it’s been a decent machine. It comes with some neat stuff like a tiny candling flashlight, watering cups (don’t really attach to device in a way that I could figure out), and an “automatic” kind of water filler. The design of the auto water filler could be better but if you’re careful it works well. We placed 9 eggs, candled at around day 5 and realized only 5 were fertilized. Marked the eggs, left them all until the next candling (just in case). Second candling we had 4 eggs with clear viability and 1 egg that looked like maybe not. Left the 5 until hatching day and got 4 sweet healthy chicks. We’re happy with the purchase and will try the machine again in the future. Follow instructions and remove the egg tray when you notice the eggs starting to hatch.
