After a razor shave, I can't feel any stubble when I run my hand against the grain, but with this shaver I can. Visually, though, the two look the same, and the shaver is much faster, with far less cleanup and no nicks or cuts. I also get no skin irritation or razor burn. I tend to press down harder than I need to, but I've tried it with minimal pressure and the shave is just as close, so there's no need to bear down. I will definitely be buying another one in the next few months. If you have the XR7000, stick with the brand name. I dropped and broke the original head after 1 year use....it still worked fine up to that point generally but i had to shave a little longer than when it was new. I can say the replacement cut better than original, so I probably should have replaced it before I broke it anyway. This thing keeps the dome chrome my friends.
