I have/had severely dry eyes and eyelid fatigue from the dryness. Even though I have been using daily lubricating drops, it still wasn’t enough to combat the dryness. I have used these three nights in a row now. It was a game changer from night one. I woke up for the first time after 6 weeks without my eyes feeling supremely dry and fatigued. And the moisturising effects continued all day until late afternoon/ evening when I start using my usual day lubricating drops. Usually I use my eye drops from as soon as I wake up in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone with severely dry eyes or anyone post eye surgery. Review: A decent alternative to Hylo Night - I normally get Hylo Night as a free NHS prescription item, but my local pharmacy can’t get it in stock lately and my GP surgery is unhelpful with providing an alternative product. The ingredients of this appear on a par with Hylo Night, but definitely in different percentage proportions because this ointment comes out of the tube far less solid. It is a little harder to use because of that, combined with the fact that the nozzle is also larger than Hylo Night. That said, the effect of the product itself is definitely just as good as Hylo Night, and in fact it might have a slight edge over it: in the mornings I have no trouble opening my eyes, while I get some minor resistance with Hylo Night due to residual overnight dryness.
