Roku Voice Remote, Replacement TV Remote Control

This remote works perfectly with my ROKU 4800X. The voice or microphone selections work as expected. Mine has Netflix, Disney+, Apple and NEWS. Don't use Apple but the other buttons are helpful. I wish you could reprogram apple or there were extra programmable buttons 1&2 like my old remote. These remotes do tend to eat batteries and this replacement does not support remote audio earphones like the original. There is no backlight or protective cover for the remote. There is no programmability unfortunately. It is black and compatible. I think the price is high given the lack of programmability. A smart vendor could take this market over!

Overall, it’s easy to use, has the features we actually want in a Roku remote, and it’s nice having another one around when the original inevitably ends up hiding somewhere in the couch.

My old remote needed you to aim at the TV like you were a sniper, tilt it 17 degrees to the left, press the button three times, then stand up, walk closer, and plead. This one works from ANY ANGLE. It showed me nature documentaries. I said "Something good," and it paused, thought deeply, and just showed me my own reflection in the black screen for two seconds before loading the menu. I don't know what that means. I'm still processing it. My wife said "Romantic comedies" and it played the movie we saw on our first date. We didn't tell it what that movie was. It just knew. Now let's talk about the streaming culture this remote has saved me from. The Great Scroll. Every American has done it: sit down to watch something, open a streaming app, and scroll through thumbnails for 45 minutes until you've lost the will to live, then give up and rewatch a show you've already seen seven times. With the voice feature, I skip the scroll entirely. I say the name. It plays. My family now has 45 extra minutes per night. We've used that time to learn Spanish, take up pottery, and argue about who's holding the remote. Because that's the other thing: remote culture is political. Whoever holds the remote holds the power. In my house, the remote has always been a crown. My father held it. His father held a rotary dial. When this new remote entered the house, the family realized it was the most powerful remote we'd ever owned, and a civil war broke out. My son hid it in his backpack. My daughter used the voice feature to change the channel from across the room without even touching it. My wife just calmly said, "Give it to me," and the remote floated across the living room into her hand. I don't know how that happened either. She hasn't let go of it since. I now watch whatever she tells me to watch. It's a peaceful regime. It's $39.76, and I realize now the second one isn't a spare. It's an heir. A backup crown. In the event of a remote disappearing into the cushion dimension again, the second one will assume the throne. I bought the single pack, and I live in constant fear. I had to replace my remotes they no longer weren't working correctly, and these works great, and very easy.

Sure enough, I lost my remote and rather than tearing the house up and getting a headache from the frustration I just ordered another one. These cost virtually nothing. Worked right out of the box, no programming required. I prefer brand name products, but if you don't there appear to be others for half price - don't know if they are any good though.

They work great for the replacements, but just remember on some t v. They might not work on the volume. But they do turn the t v off and on.

If you need a remote for a Roku streaming stick this is the remote to get. My friend had an older streaming stick and her remote was worn out so it no longer worked. Finding a remote for a streaming stick was difficult since most replacement ones were for everything but a streaming stick. Got this remote and it was very easy to pair with the stick. Had the new remote working in just a minute! Even someone who is technically challenged can get this remote paired with a streaming stick. I highly recommend this remote for your Roku streaming stick.

Got this to replace the original remote for my Roku Streaming Stick HD that got damaged during a recent party. Was easy to introduce the new remote to the stick, and because it came with batteries - which I wasn't expecting - it was up and running in minutes! Fully compatible. Works just like the original it replaced, though it does feel a little sturdier, which might explain why the price looks higher than you'd expect. But it is the genuine voice remote

Paired with my Roku streaming bar straight away no issues the batteries included were a nice touch.

Came on time...well packaged. Pulled the tab on the batteries and had a flashing green light. I was about 12 feet from my tv. Remote did not work. Turns out it needs to "pair"with the tv. When you engage the batteries...make sure you are close to the tv. After the pairing was done... remote worked perfectly.
