## Description

Product Description Use with a rotary device or drill and a polishing pad to restore original glass clarity, and remove blemishes, scuffs, superficial scratches, sanding marks, lime scale, chemical damage and adhesive residue. ADD WATER Mix 4 parts cerium oxide with 1 part water. Tip! We recommend mixing a small amount of the cerium oxide at a time and adding more if necessary. MIX Mix by shaking in a closed container or using a spoon/spatula. Tip!: For a more abrasive paste use less water; for a less abrasive paste use more water. APPLY Apply a small amount (about half a teaspoon) of the mixed cerium oxide compound to a felt pad or similar. START POLISHING Turn the polishing device on and spread the cerium oxide paste across the damaged area. Tip! Start with low RPM to prevent splatter. KEEP POLISHING Increase the speed to 1500-2500rpm and polish the area moving side to side or up and down. SPRAY WATER When the paste dries out, spray a bit of water or add more paste. Keep polishing until you are happy with the results. Tip! For the best experience use a spray bottle with a mist.

Review: Used to repair IPhone 12 screen scratch - If you are after a product to smooth out iPhone glass screen scratches to invisible then this is the product for you. This was my first time using this and it worked. However you have to be prepared to put in some serious elbow grease. I had a month old phone and stupidly thought I wouldn’t need a phone screen protector but unsurprising I had a 4mm scratch appear that was about .5mm deep. To use this as I did, first clean your phone screen with a paper towel/cloth and something to get rid of all the grime. Then mask off the area around where the scratch is with masking tape! This helps to keep you focused on where the scratch is when your rubbing away. Next mix some of the powder with a small amount of water to form a toothpaste like consistency. I didn’t use a lot of the powder at all. Probably around a teaspoon. I then used a polishing cloth (similar to that cloth you get to clean glasses/sunglass lenses) as the applicator. I used my finger covered in the cloth and dipped it into the solution you’ve just mixed. Then work your cloth covered finger into your phone screen where the scratch is using small circular motions. I did adjust the motion like back and forth and side to side when you’ve had enough of circular. Not going to lie it took me about 2.5 hours to get the scratch out. Every 30 mins I’d check to see progress but it does work you just have to be consistent and put the work in. Try not to press too hard all the time. Let the powder do the work. But the drier the paste and harder you press the more abrasive the rubbing will be. Good luck.

**Q: Would this work on a vanity mirror to eliminat a ouple of scratches?**
A: This powdered element (Cerium) is so fine that it will never scratch any surface being worked on as long as clean, pollutant-free cloths are used.

**Q: Which powder do you recommend for hard/deep scretch on tempered glass (industry use)?**
A: If you need to remove the deep scratch, you need to sand the glass first and then use the cerium oxide for the final polish.
Cerium oxide on its own will not remove the deep scratches.

**Q: Will this work on reading glasses?**
A: We do not recommend using it on reading glasses, this is because the abrasiveness in this product will remove any coatings and if used with a rotary polisher also a layer of glass, resulting in a possible optical change.

**Q: Could this product be used to polish the inside of an old bottle by shaking it with maybe some copper pellets?**
A: Unfortunately not, it will not work in your case. Cerium oxide needs to be applied on the felt polishing pad and use with a rotary device at about 1500rpm for best results.

It works just fine , and i feel sure i would be even more effective " if i had the courage to press on harder " i was polishing scratches off a valuable family pendant..... so dare not use the more aggressive techniques
