The lekato pd705 has plenty of on board sounds and functions as well as being a midi controller which will allow me to play drums and maybe double up as a controller for bass and voices. The alternatives are finger drums(!) or premium priced products or generics which look much the same. I have plenty of lekato products (loopers, wireless, pedal power supply etc) and they are always competitively priced and reliable. This looks like another winner. Addendum, I also got a kick drum pedal and a stand which fits perfectly. It seems rather odd to me that the default pad layout has the kick drum on the left and the high hat pads on the right. All the same, I put the pedal on the right and it works fine. i might need to re configure some of the pads but otherwise I am very pleased with the device along with the accessories.
