Can't seem to get this to work in my yogurt maker

It might be the fact that my maker doesn't heat the milk enough or something, but I always seem to end up with milk. I will try again using just a pan to heat up the milk and work with it that way, but that seems to defeat the purpose of having a yogurt maker
