This is a great mic isolation ball. For the price, it's a great deal and I think you'll be very happy with it. I have my mic hooked up to my MPC, and when I'm ready to record vocals, this thing will isolate the sound and make it sound as if I'm in a studio booth. I'm using this with a Shure SM7B mic, and the sound is great! There are more expensive options out there, but this thing gets the job done at a very reasonable price. It feels of nice quality and it's well made. It's easy to get the mic into the unit and I've had zero problems with it the two months I've had it. I highly recommend it to you and I'm sure you'll be content with it for your vocal recording needs!

Doesn't Fit Rode NT2-A. Looks like it would work well with a mic that fits. That's why the 4 stars. My Rode NT2-A is too large in diameter for the small opening and way too small for the large (no plug) opening.

Easiest thing to install I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t function as insinuated. Room sound and echo are not filtered at all. Also, it’s massive, I keep running into it. Not worth the money.

This is a very well made sound isolation ball. It fits my Yeti Blue mic - snuggly but well. The "pattern" control at the bac of the mic is partially covered by the ball, but I don't change that, so that is OK. When I speak directly into the isolation ball, all room bounce disappears. The sound is very clean. If I back away from the isolation ball and speak, the room bounce is greatly reduced, but not eliminated. This is to be expected. There is one unexpected factor - I should have realized ahead of time. As this ball surrounds the mic, it is hard to keep it out of the camera view. It makes the mic very big. However, that is a small sacrifice compared to trying to deaden the sound bounce in the whole room. I have figured out how to turn the Yeti sideways so that the ball stays to the bottom of the camera view. As I said earlier, that allows a tiny bit of room bounce - just enough to make a pleasant tiny reverb on the stream. When I am recording a voice track (no video), I speak directly into the pop filter and the sound is very clean.
