They basically work like a threading needle, weaving your way down the webbing, attaching your gear as snug as possible. Then, they cinch down with the built in lock at the top. They can be quickly removed by grabbing the lanyard and pulling them up with w good yank. Great product! **Q: Is this sold as 1 pack of 4 clips or 4 packs of 4 clips?** A: It is sold as 1 pack of 4 MOLLE Sticks **Q: These molle sticks could be cut to use into a 3 row molle pouch?** A: Hello, The sticks are made from an ultra durable polymer, and are able to be cut. We do not recommend this for two reasons. There isn't any real reason it needs to be cut because the end will stick slightly below the bottom of the webbing and won't hinder the use of the pouch.
