get this to keep the cold out
Found this product to be excellent throughout the house, it is strong and sturdy, cuts with ease for a perfect fit, can be used for your windows even for your doors, the weatherstrip sticks with ease, and it is a much thicker product than that of most other weather strips you will find in your local 'pound shops', This will definitely stop any drafts 24/7 and you will feel that extra warmth especially when the colder days and winter months are approaching. I would buy this product again next year 'if' I need to replace any of the weather strip as in time the adhesive will become less sticky, but the weather strip I purchased last year some of it is still going strong and hasnt come away from any of the windows at all. I only replaced it as I prefer to use a new weather strip each year, as come next year you will probably find that this weather strip might be updated to a better and even stronger product. For the price you pay you will certainly save money on your heating as we all know these utility companies are holding thousands of households to ransom with their astronomical price hikes which is just pure gree for the shareholders and nothing else. Grab this Self Adhesive Foam Weather Strip NOW and keep your home wamer by blocking those air gaps that can sneak into your home making your house feel cold and thus making you turn your heating up higher and higher, so by buying this product your sure to minimise the rising cost of extra heating and you can have peace of mind with this product from making you feel cold during cold spells especially during winter.

Very pleased with this product
Very pleased with this product, it has totally solved the draught/noise problem that I had with my windows, very quick and easy to use, I would say do ensure that the surface is absolutely clean before you attempt to stick it on. An excellent product at a bargain price

Now fit for purpose
Don't hate it but its not fit for purpose. Ordered 26th Jan rec'd Thur 29/1.The invoice says Bargain Warehouse the packaging says Knight and fancy-itagencies ltd. The pack is 2 x 5m. Cost is £1.30 but said £1.29 when I bought it. So I could bitch about that bit of sharp practice. Its a more hardish compound rubber than foam with little give. Dimensions 9mm by 5mm . I could forgive this lack of spongeyness for what I want it for. The stuff you peel away to reveal the 'adhesive' (more later) is more paper and in my days was plasticky. The result is you have to exercise patience to slowly peel it off bit by bit. Sadly your patience will not be rewarded since the adhesive barely adheres to anything. If it did I guess it would stick to the paper. It reminds me of the sort of adherence you might expect from a weather strip left unmolested out of its package on a shelf in a garage for a number of years. It might just adhere to the window or door frame if pressed on hard enough. For how long heaven knows. Maybe just until the window/door is next opened. So this could actually be used as a cheap option to exclude draughts over a winter for instance during a period when your not likely to open the windows. I don't mind who sends it to me as long as I get it. I don't mind the time taken to peel the stuff away from the adhesive, I have the time but I don't like wasting it. The price is of course seriously attractive but if it doesn't do what it should then even a penny spent is a penny wasted. I want it to 'adhere' to something. Stick to it and be there for more than two seconds. Otherwise I consider it gets seriously close to contravening the trades description act. I bought another similar weather strip for £1.69 in the hope that if one was rubbish the other would be OK. Sadly the word 'similar' is all too appropriate. At the same time I also bought an E profile draught excluder which is much more expensive £2.69 for just 5m and thankfully that will do the job. I guess you get what you pay for. Update 24/1/2019 Reordered from same supplier. It occurs to me that we are actually all talking about different products. Yep draught excluder mine this time was lenght 5m width 9mm thickness 5mm (verified) but actually in the nice cellophane pack I had 2 lots of this so 10m total. It was by Blackspur. The plastic backing peeled off precisely as it should, no paper leftovers and stuck the way it should. And to my continued surprise and delight you could just stick the first six inches in place (we can use inches now I think) press and then stretch and it doesn't tear. So great product but I do doubt whether all 27 merchants offer the same product by the same manufacturer. Anyway mine is fine thank you for asking..

Weather strip
Bought this a temporary fix for a draft coming from a uPVC window. The product is working well so far and has fixed the issue. I did find it a bit fiddly to set up. The backing paper wouldn't come off in one go and would need picking at leaving the exposed glue side to get stuck to it self. That could have just been user error though.

Used for draughts around skirting
As I have a foam excluder around my front door I knew this was what I was needing to stop the draughts around skirting which can be easily removed for when I move out. My landlord hasn't replaced the carpet in my son's room where there's up to 10mm gap between the end of the carpet and the skirting and so there's constant draughts. Even the PHRP has deemed the carpets as properly fitted so I've had to resort to doing it myself. I've placed one length of foam strips along the bottom edge of all the skirting and placed another strip in between the carpet grips and skirting. This overlap has created an L shape so that the foam excluders aren't as noticeable as it would have been using a wider strip. The foam was easy to use as the backing is easily removed and the foam sticks well but also allows for adjustment if you haven't placed it correctly initially. There is a little stretch in the foam when you are fitting it so cut less than the length of what you're insulating when measuring with the backing on. The foam expands a little once fitted and has been exactly what was needing for the floor edges. Delivery was very quick and unlike other reviews the product was as pictured and described.

Great quality foam strip with great adhesive
I have been blessed with a daughter this year and I wanted my 6 months not to feel any cold at all this year because of open holes and small spaces in my home doors and windows. I researched quite a lots of strips and decided to give this cheapest option a go. Surprise to me this product if of a cheap price but is of good quality with a great adhesive. After trying the 1 pack of it I recently ordered one more of it for my other family member.. Highly recommended.

Wrong Image used. 5mm thickness.
The image used to market the product was the same as one used by diy.com for a product they stocked to seal gaps of 2mm-8mm. As the product dimensions were listed as 19.4 x 17.2 x 2.4 cm, which made no sense to me, and as it was less than 2 quid, coupled with the fact that I read a review which stated it was '...just the same product as diy shops.', I thought there was no harm in giving it a try. Worst that can happen is I've wasted £1.47... well, that is what has happened. I can state that the dimensions are 9mm wide and most importantly 5mm thick. The gap I need to seal is I'd say between 4mm-7mm. Stupidly, I only realised after fitting it, so returning it was not an option. Double layering it didn't work for me either as certain areas could not take a double layer, so I tried to switch from single layer to double layer along the length, but where the switch is, it does not give a good seal when the door is shut. Now I have to buy something else.

Maybe worth paying a bit more!
It does the job (although it's not been up long enough to test fully). But it does break very easily as you apply it. And the glue, when you inevitably touch the sticky side, covers your fingers in white glue - which has taken me almost an hour to completely remove! You get what you pay for, I guess. Next time I would pay a bit more for an established make: strip that doesn't break as you apply it and glue that adheres to the doorframe not my fingers! :-)
