Review: I should have bough one years ago - Excellent piece of kit, clamp is reasonably good, eats through 41mm x 41mm u section steel (unistrut) like butter. 10mm threaded bar is also cuts easily. Pretty clean cut, just a quick rub over with file to take of the sharp edge on the u section. threaded bar does not need a lead filed on it, nice clean cuts. I've only cut steel on mine, so I can't comment on aluminium performance (or wood). You need to wear goggles, not glasses when cutting as the 'chips' can fly up easily. No need to force the saw, as it cuts through easily on its own... I have never used a grinding disc type chop saw, but I would think this is much easier to clean up than the grinding 'dust' that gets everywhere when grinding. I would also think this is much quicker at cutting than a grinding disc type saw.
