Asking for my wife!!** A: No, you won't get any mess from this product. Once it goes on to your hair it fixes quickly and will only come out with shampooing. And your wife will only get it on her fingers if she touches it - after which she can brush or rinse it off. It won't cause any staining, and it won't run if she gets her hair wet. For my part, I use this product to tide me over between hair appointments. I use it to touch up the grey gap in my parting, and it works brilliantly for that, easily tiding me over one or two weeks, and genuinely no one would guess it was a touch up job. It’s not a bad coverage. I would say this root cover-up cover up for small section of grey coverage. It does not budge like some of other brands. I have dark brown hair colour and this colour match quite well. I say this product perfect to use in between salon and colour starting to fade. Follow instruction carefully by pressing down firmly into roots and not sweeping motion. My only criticism this product is a little pricey but will last. I only use it for special occasion. It’s not messy however I have not tried under a humid environment yet.
