Where can I get spare parts ie the Extruder printhead?

Getting spares for these printers can be difficult, if it's out of warranty then XYZ may sell you one, have a look on their site, there are also other ways by adding a E3D printhead conversion kit but that may be a bit too much for you, it depends on how good you are at DIY 3D printers.

Does anyone know if this printer is shipped with pla or abs?

Yes it's shipped with abs, I've changed mine over to pla very easy to do. Better quality print as well. Also extra advice get a small piece of glass cut for the print bed as the pieces of sticky paper become tedious to work with.

does this come with the laser or is it an after part

No laser came with mine. The text says that the machine is upgradeable to a laser engraver. It seems to be an add-on
