I don't really know mine last me between 2 or 3 months depending on how greedy I am I don't really think they need a sale by date I keep mine in a jar and they are as good then as first open . don't know if that will help you

These dates are probably a legal requirement. But as for so many products, you just have to use your own judgement. I am still happily using a bag bought nearly 6 years ago and the mints both look and taste like new. They are basically peppermint oil flavoured sugar after all, so it is one big bag of natural preservative. 3 kg of sugar is a lot to use, so the mints get eaten sparingly knowing they are safe so to do. Enjoy them!
