My HDD was "suddenly not connected", have to repair... repair.. "suddenly not connected" repair.. repair again.. X about 15... ENOUGH! Buy this cable, use some canned air and blow out both ends of HDD and USB on console, and BE DONE WITH IT. (Yes I tried that with the old cord, and it got even more frequent.) Anyways so far it hasn't happened a single time since. Looks like I dodged that $300 bullet. Cord is super thick! Not the usual thin crap you get here. I suspect because of how well its made that it will last a long time. Probably decades, to be honest, it will probably outlast the already outdated console. Its made of really good thick yet flexible materials. For the price, its just amazing! The ends of the cable are nice. Good solid connections.

works well, it is a good value for the money. I got a new computer which mostly runs with USB-C inputs and I still have lots of notebook external hard drives that use the typical usb cable, and I didn't want to use an adaptor etc.. This is for sure a life saver, and using the cable now my hard drives can transfer at USB-C speed. I have had no connection issues. No mystery on how to use or install, you just plug 1 end to the hard drive and the other to the pc/ Mac. My Mac had no issue detecting the hard drive when using this cable. One thing I would change was maybe had gotten this a bit longer, the table is a good length but could have even about 1ft longer. Far as aesthetics, it is a nice well designed cable, If you still gotta connect it to the traditional usb input, it has an adaptor at the end of it

It seems to do just what it should, and when I get back home I'll try it out on the iPad. That will be most interesting.

Product exactly as described, giving me access to files on an OLD external drive. Very pleased with purchase and would definitely recommend.

I work on both Mac and PC and this cable is so handy so I can plug my drives into anything without digging out my own converters. The stock cable I was using for this drive was falling apart more and more everyday and I had only used it for one show. I move very large files onto this drive and after using this cable it sort of felt faster?? Don't quote me on that though. Regardless, it is a very nice cable, with a good length and durable sleeve. I also like the included cable tie to I can keep it coiled when I throw it back into my bag. Gonna load some very large files through this thing and might update if there are any issues. EDIT 2/10/23: Made it through my first gig with this thing, traveled great and transferred files fast. Definitely recommend if you use both Mac and PC frequently with your drives.

So my 4tb external hard drive was getting disconnected often so I ordered this to see if it would work based on other research and reviews saying it could be the cable. Come to find out it did not help my situation. Overall the cable is good quality and does what it us intended to do. I lime how you can connect to a c type device as well which was a plus. I think my son broke my external hard drive that is why this cable did not help me but will gladly keep it for the future and do recommend this product.
