We do not recommend trying to sew any leather heavier than 3 ounces. Please be aware that if you sew on multiple layers or materials that are too thick and it raises the presser foot too high (higher than the normal up position), the top tension will be disengaged and the machine will not make a proper stitch (may jam machine). **Q: What is the difference between the 6700 and 6700c?** A: There is no difference in the machines.
