Although a bit more expensive than the commonly available variants widely available in the UK, they still represent excellent value for money considering how pleasant they are to use, without any doubt, they will last a long time if well looked after.If you value your expensive shoes and also seek frustration-free maintenance, this set would make a great investment. The applicator brushes do just what they should, and the buffing brushes are comfortable to hold, with curved handles. They are of good quality and the bristles do not damage footwear. A few bristles come out but not many and this is to be expected with horsehair. I am very pleased with them and with the price paid. A few retailers sell similar sets for massive markups in comparison. I highly recommend these brushes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Real thing better than photo *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 December 2020* Bought these just to have something ok to do the job with when a more deluxe version was unavailable, at a price that wouldn't be too painful to lose if they turned out to be glorified nailbrushes. Just opened them now and so pleased - proper shoe brushes. The bristles on all four are longer, softer and more densely packed than the photo suggests, and seem sturdily attached to their base. Those on the buffer brushes mirror the shallow curve of the handles so they handle well and are furthermore a good working size. The wood is a darker, more mahogany, colour than the pale oak in the picture. They're not top of the range royal valet standard, but fully expecting to get good use from them.
