This rustic bell compliments my cottage home. It's just what I wanted and a perfect size, not too big and not too small. The bell itself has a nice loud tone, I tried it in the house when I screwed it together. You have to attach the actual bell part to the frame and all parts to do this were included. I didn't ring it loud, just a little chime to see what it sounded like. My cat Erik didn't like it at all, he shot off upstairs like a scud missile. I didn't chime it again in front of him. It is easy to install, I drilled three holes into the stone next to my front door and used three brown wall plugs and three screws (not included) took me around five minutes to install and really looks and sounds the part. I paid £4.99 and think this is an absolute bargain. My neighbours were so jealous of it they almost threw up into their own underpants!!

Very strong, very heavy (for its size) and very loud DONGER. If you're lusting after a heavy, loud DONGER - well, here it is.

very solid heavy iron piece, looks well built and a nice addition to our bar, only let down is it looks like new rather than old and worn but that is personal preference and with plenty of abuse will soon look worn in

Must say I bought this more for decoration rather than as a functional doorbell. However it would definitely serve its intended purpose as a doorbell, as it has a very pleasant but loud ring to it. I have positioned it at the back door at a height that all the kids even my toddler can reach and they love it too. Has so many functions. Use it to call kids in for the night/for tea rather than yelling down the garden for them to come in. Kids use it to play 40/40 - instead of rushing back to a 'safe place' the first to ring the bell wins. The toddler just likes to play with it as he likes the sound, and thankfully hasn't the strength to maintain constant loud ringing - as yet :-) I myself find it difficult to go through the door without giving it a gentle ring - maybe I'm easily pleased but that small ring is very satisfying and gives me a small sense of cheer :-) It also looks very good, and has received many compliments - surprisingly even from a big burly male friend who I would have assumed would have thought it silly and senseless. My mum loved it so much had to get one for her too. Terrific buy - can't say enough about it. Love it!

This hand pull bell is absolutely what I wanted. Just the right 'rusty' colour, an old fashioned charming design, solidly made and with a great ring! What's not to like? The only part that didn't fit with the 'feel' of the piece was the short chubby white cord that hung from the bell. That was sorted very quickly by untying it and immersing in hot water with a couple of tea bags for an hour. Hey presto ... the string now looks eighteenth century! Buy one, you won't regret it..

I have been trying for one year to find an appropriate doorbell for my home. I did not want to have to get an electrician to wire in one, or buy one of the wireless one. I have had a couple and was never very satisfied with their performance. Since I live in the country, and I have a small cottage, I wanted something that would blend in. I love my bell. It came quickly, it was easy to assemble, and mount on the house. It is perfect. I did have screws the perfect color and size, so mounting it was no problem. I would suggest the supplier include mounting screws, to make it easier on people that don't do a lot of DIY projects, and would need to go out just to purchase a couple of screws. I enjoy my bell so much, I even ring it just for fun when passing it.

Hace tiempo andaba buscando una campana para la puerta de acceso al jardín de mi casa. Si con esta y me guié por las opiniones. Llego antes de lo previsto. Me impresionó mucho.. es robusta, pesa bastante y parece antigua. Lo único que no me gusta tanto es la cuerda que trae. Es muy blandita y no pega mucho con la campana y el soporte. Yo he comprado cuerda de tipo rafia y queda súper chula. La recomiendo 100%

Seems sturdy, pleasant loud sound. I will probably add a longer rope & need your own fixing screws to mount to door. Overall very happy with it, looks great on my modern door.
