Review: Reliable switch - I’ve had this light switch for approximately 4 years and have had no issues whatsoever. It dims the lights smoothly with no flicker or noise, and has remained reliable throughout. I was recently changing the light switches in my bedroom and initially bought another brand, which was unfortunately more expensive and not as good in performance. After returning it, I came back to this one instead, as it has consistently proven to be the better choice.
Review: Easy to use dimmer switch - I had to buy this dimmer switch after I changed the light on my lounge ceiling and found the bulbs were too bright. As the bulbs were dimmable it made sense to get a dimmer switch.. It is a lovely brushed steel which matches my other light switches. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, I've limited hand dexterity and as I found the switch that was already on the wall easy to use I was wary of changing it. It was very easy to install, my brother in law swapped the switches in a matter of minutes.. My right hand is my dominant hand so I've to reverse into the lounge to switch the light on. I found this switch very easy to use. I have my light switches at a lower level than normal so i can reach them. With this dimmer switch I just push the button to switch it on then turn the knob to the right to brighten it, then turn it back to dim it. Then I push the knob to make sure the light is definitely off. I've found this switch to be good value for money, it's easy to use and I can have my light at just the right brightness now It has a good range of brightness, though I suppose it depends on what type of bulb you use. My bulbs are E27 and they cast a beautiful light over the ceiling when on full power.

**Q: Is this a trailing edge dimmer switch please, for dimmable LEDs?**
A: The info states: "COMPATIBLE WITH LED ...... LAMPS: Thanks to the intelligent trailing edge dimmers having a lower minimum load than leading edge dimmers."
This implies to me that it is a trailing edge dimmer. However, the top left of the same page states that it is a leading edge dimmer, as does the 'specifications' pdf. This also states that the dimmer unit will emit a faint buzz. Clicking on the link to the 'user manual'' pdf takes me to Swordfish Paper Trimmers.

**Q: Can you still uses this as a 1 gang 1 way switch for bedroom**
A: I would suggest using a different switch BG NBS12 which is a 1 gang 2 way but you can use it as a 1 gang 1 way switch too.

**Q: can you use these switches for 1 way as well as 2 way**
A: I have just wired this four gang two way switch for one way operation, the wiring advice states live to common terminal and switched live to L1 terminal however this causes the lights to come on with the switches in the off position and be off in the on position. A continuity test showed that terminal L2 was acting as L!  and L1 was acting as L2, so I used L2 for switched live and all is well in the kitchen! Hope this helps.

**Q: What depth back box do I need for this?**
A: It says 35mm on the technical specs.
