When a shanked ball is hit into the Shankscreen, the ball may penetrate1-2 feet. For safe use, it should be at least 4 feet away from the wall and fully extended/taut. The Net Return also has Velcro to attach their side barriers, but they are more expensive** A: I’m using the go sports elite net 7’ X 7’ (a very nice net) with side barriers. These barriers use the hook facing and mesh with the pile facing that is attached to the elite net. Works well….the hook facing is one complete 7 ‘ piece of tape.
