All the pictures are opening inwards.** A: My windows open outwards I tape the mesh to the very inside of the frame which doesn’t move and with the windo open , I leave the window open enough to allow a decent amount of air to come in . I don’t run tape all around the frame just pieces a couple of centimetres long every twenty centimetres or so this allows you to get your hand out to pull the window further open or closed as needed . I havent had a problem with it this way it keeps hornets and wasps out as well as moths, flys and mosquitos out. Not a perfect solution I agree but it works with a little thought like allowing space for you to get your hand on the handle to open and close the window with care. **Q: Will it leave a sticky residue on pvc windows ?** A: I've not noticed any sticky residue. Not on the pic material itself. But if you're using the lightweight mesh material I'm using then it's so sticky that the material gets stuck to it and can tear **Q: Is it reasonably wide.I have had some in a pack and it is very narrow** A: On the pack it states that the width is 9mm, less than 1/2 an inch. However, the product itself, is excellent quality and does not need to be wider. I have just renewed my insect screen, using last years strip, with no loss of adherance. Therefore, unless you plan to hang something large and heavy it does an excellent job. The big advantage of this strip is that you can remove it easily, without leaving ugly residue, unlike cheaper options. Would recommend. In my case the tape is used on the out-side of aluminium windows and open to extreems of weather and surprisingly it has shown no sign of wear, even in temperatures of 38 degrees. **Q: Does it work with mesh or lace?** A: I haven’t used it with lace, but it works very well with mesh material - a bit too well actually. The mesh can pull and tear a little when you pull it away. It really is that much better than the junk hook and loop that came with your bug screen set. I'd give it 5 stars but feel that it's still too expensive.
