Very useful and interesting read - helped me make connections about words and language that both new and relevant to me. Superb handy sized reference that offers revelations every time I refer to it.

I am really enjoying this book, it really helps because it introduces a word stem and its meaning in.Latin , then the words in English with the stem, their meaning followed by short quiz to help consolidate your learning

This is a fantastic book Recently I have purchased several books of the same & they do not compare at all

If only I have been given this book while I was on primary and secondary school, I could have memorized and understood all these words!

I love this small green book.

The content of this book looks very interesting, but I'm not reviewing that right now. What I do want to mention is that the book, which is close to 600 pages long, is presented in a narrow Mass Market Paperback edition which uses very cheap grey paper and is just 10cm in breadth. That means it's very difficult to open and keep it open. The book has exercises to be completed in it, and the dimensions make this more than a challenge. There is a considerable amount of work to be done in this book if one is to take it seriously and treat it as the course that it provides. That was my reasoning for buying the print version over the kindle digital, so that I could write in it. Why, oh why, is this book ONLY available in this format? I would very happily have paid £10-15 (double, or even three times the price) for a user-friendly paperback.
