## Description

Reclaim Your Heart is not just a self-help book. It is a manual about the journey of the heart in and out of the ocean of this life. It is a book about how to keep your heart from sinking to the depths of that ocean, and what to do when it does. It is a book about redemption, about hope, about renewal. Every heart can heal, and each moment is created to bring us closer to that transformative return. Reclaim Your Heart is about finding that moment when everything stops and suddenly looks different. It is about finding your own awakening. And then returning to the better, truer, and freer version of yourself. Many of us live our lives, entrapped by the same repeated patterns of heartbreak and disappointment. Many of us have no idea why this happens. Reclaim Your Heart is about freeing the heart from this slavery. It is about the journey in an out of life's most deceptive traps. This book was written to awaken the heart and provide a new perspective on love, loss, happiness, and pain. Providing a manual of sorts, Reclaim Your Heart will teach readers how to live in this life without allowing life to own you. It is a manual of how to protect your most prized possession: the heart.

Review: Beautiful :) - This book is so beautiful. It affected me so much. It changed me, and my perspective of life. This book is about the emotional and psychological side of eeman/iman. It doesn't just talk about facts and what you should or shouldn't do, no... it talks about the heart. And Yasmin Mogahed tells complicated things in such a simple way. It cleares up your mind. I felt a little lost sometimes, my head was so full, my heart filled with unrest.. there were times I didn't know WHAT to think. But now.. every time I feel scared or sad or lonely, I take this book and read. Yasmin writes in such a smart way. And the topics she talks about are so relevant to modern life. She talks about men and women status nowadays, the ummah, facebook, personal things she went through and the lessons she learnt from them. But it all comes to one thing, this is all Dunya. Everyting in it is a TEST. And it all will eventually pass. Another thing I love about this book: it speaks about different topics, so simply. It tells the most essential things... no uninteresting details. Nothing you want to skip so you can read further. It reads so easily, and yet the subjects are so deep. And I love the fact that it's chapters are short. You don't have to read it all at once... I only read a couple of pages and I need time to think and reflect over them :) It's definitely a book you can read over and over again. I recommand this book to everyone who wants to renew their faith, who wants to look at their life in a different way. My love for Allah has grown so much. May Allah bless her and help her to inspire even more people insaAllah. Selamun aleykum
Review: A deeply insightful read that is from the heart and reaches the heart - This book is written from the heart and so when I read it, it really resonates with my own heart and mind. It is touching, thoughtful, deep and insightful. Yasmin manages to convey her own vulnerabilities whilst projecting an inner strength that is rooted in Islam. When I read this book I feel like I am reading my own thoughts or reading about my own experiences and feelings. I understand the journeys that her mind has travelled in instances as somewhere along the line my mind has made similar journeys. Yet there is also so much to learn from this book, so much inspiration to be drawn, so much to ponder. I am sure I will be updating this review once I complete reading this book. But for now, I will say this - read this book. Whether you are Muslim or not, I think everyone can draw inspiration from this book, and for many it may be a way to understand Islam better. A truly beautiful book. Looking forward to reading more. Be back to update it once I've completed reading. I've ordered my paperback version, but couldn't wait so I downloaded the kindle version! Enjoy :)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ just amazing!
*by S***Y on 14 October 2012*

*Firstly i want to say i dont ever write reviews about anyting i am not 100% passionate about* No matter what faith background you have or if you do not attach yourself to any faith this book is so relevent to anyone who has/is experiencing pain, disappointment, unfullfillment or feeling a spiritual void. it is the most reflective and unpretenious book I have ever read, so thought provoking! you literally have to stop after reading a few paragraphs in order to take in the greatness of what shes conveying. i cant say enough amazing things about it, just that you'll never be disappointed if you buy it! I took it on holiday with me, read it on the most beautiful beach, it just took me to a different world! you can find more of her work on youtube and blog, shes definitely got somonething special! and for all those people who have a stereotyped idea of Muslim woman, shes just blown that one out the water! Enjoy!
