Davina McCall has found a new way to keep fit and toned, without it taking over her busy schedule. Fit in15 is very simple, just do a combination of Jackie and Mark’s amazing 15 minute workouts and you’ll see great results. There are four main ‘Fit in 15’ workouts 1. Cardio 15 30 second bursts of high intensity training alternated with 15 seconds rest periods, sustained for 15 minutes, make this the ultimate fat burner. 2. Arms 15 High intensity exercises with weights, alternated with intervals to keep the heartrate high and burn fat – all while you define those deltsand banish those bingo wings! 3. Legs 15 Asquat-tasticfifteen minutes of high energy leg exercises, alternated with intervals to make sure you’re fat burning while you’re toning the legs and bum. 4. Core15 The focus is firmly on the core here – fifteen minutes of intense abdominals work, both standing and floor based, with weights. Great for toning, and also perfect for helping to maintain a good shape after weight loss. Stretches Cool Down Stretch . After every workout, you must do the cool down stretch – short and sweet but absolutely essential. Relaxation Stretch. At weekends and on days when you’ve got more time, add on this lovely indulgent stretch and meditation to your workout and feel the tension disappear Review: Excellent workout with a 'short sharp shock' approach! - I've used a number of Davina McCall's other DVDs, as well as other workout DVDs such as Jillian Michaels, Hannah Waterman and Clare Nasir. Essentially, I like reasonably challenging workouts that, although they might feel like a killer while you're doing them, don't take up too much time and achieve results. Interval training is definitely the most effective form of exercise for me and ideal for people like myself who are uncoordinated and clumsy as there are no complicated combinations of different moves or dance steps - think military fitness, boxing and circuit training rather than dance/aerobics! This DVD certainly delivers a good, quick, effective workout. Despite a break from exercise over Christmas I'm reasonably fit but still found the cardio section challenging (cardio being my least favourite type of exercise). As usual, Davina is encouraging and honest - she doesn't pretend the whole thing is a breeze like some celebrities do on their DVDs - and her trainers Jackie and Mark are down-to-earth and encouraging. They also give plenty of tips on making sure you use the correct postures and form when you're doing the exercises, which is particularly important for an intense workout like this. There is a lot to be said for a 15-minute workout that still makes you feel like you've actually done something. These are short, intense workouts (even the warm-up is built in to the 15 minutes) rather than longer, slower, progressive routines, so you should be out of breath and sweating even after 15 minutes. If you aren't, then you aren't working hard enough - it's that simple. If your heart isn't pounding, then work faster and put more effort in; I suspect the people who are saying this isn't challenging are probably not working out at their full capacity. It doesn't matter if you're not in time to the music - the point is to go at the fastest pace you can, not to keep in time like you would with a dance workout. You could definitely burn a decent amount of calories in the 15 minutes if you give it your all, and I would imagine most people would certainly build up their fitness quite rapidly by doing these routines several days a week. That doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt to do more than the 15 minutes when you've got time, though, especially when your fitness improves. At the moment I'm sticking with 15 minutes per session on weekdays simply because I'm so short on time, but at weekends and when I've got more time to spare I'll be looking at doing cardio plus one or two of the other workouts. It's important to note that you'll need hand weights (2kg or heavier - baked bean tins or 500ml water bottles aren't going to cut it in a 15-minute workout) and if you're working out in an uncarpeted room, you'll probably want a mat for the core exercises. Overall this is a really good, no-nonsense, whole body workout. If you've never exercised before, don't be daunted and just do what you can; you'll build up your fitness in no time with this one. A sensible, gimmick-free, professionally-led workout - recommended. Review: Davina, Jackie and Mark do it again a superb Fitness DVD - This DVD is a must for anyone's fitness collection and a great addition to an expanding Davina collection. The music is, as always, a great choice of tracks. Jackie's hair style looks wonderful, as well as Davina's of course. Davina's fitness outfits look great, especially the bright one in Core - 15! Davina is as bubbly as ever (and not annoying, but makes me laugh, which is good when working out). This DVD is for all levels of fitness with Jackie doing the easy, low impact option. You don't need to do a warm up before each section as this is incorporated into the workouts already. Each 15 minute section works from warming up, to intense, then cooling down, mixed with intervals. Making each session enjoyable and well put together. I would recommend you do 2 x 15 minute sessions for a really good workout if you have time (and if you are brave, the whole lot). To break the DVD down, it has 4 main sections: Cardio 15 - Jackie gives the instruction. You start with warming up, then with each intense exercise you get a 15 second rest, exercises include star jumps, side jumps, tyre jumps, punching and jumping, heel jumps and many others. You then start to bring your heart rate down with slow skips, side steps and marches. This is a good all round intense workout. Those of an advance level, do extra reps and higher jumps to help you get the most from the workout. Beginners just go with Jackie and work your way up slowly. Legs 15 - Mark gives the instruction. You start a warming up process with toe taps, knee raises and bum kicks. It then carries on with higher impact exercises, which include sprints, then a balance exercise, bum kick sprint and balance again. Other exercises include jump squats, ballet squats and other very effective leg work exercises. A very enjoyable workout. Arms 15 - Mark gives the instruction. Warm up begins with shoulder rolls and toe points, working up to bum kicks and lateral arm raises, highlanders and punch with kicks, you then get the weights and do side raises, upright rows and other arm exercises. You have a fair amount of intervals for 30 seconds doing sprints and ice skating sprints to get the heart rate up and burn calories. It finishes by cooling down exercises. A lovely session. Core 15 - Jackie gives the instruction. Great outfit Davina, very colourful. This is broken down into 2 x 7 minutes. The first 7 minutes is standing core exercises and the second 7 minutes are floor/plank core moves (oh my, these are hard) First 7 minutes starts with standing waist twists, pendulum, elbow to knee and side lunges and works up to more intense moves with weights. The second 7 minutes you go down on the floor and do various plank core exercises and to me, being at intermediate level, are very hard, then you go down on your back for good old sit ups and side reaches. This is not for the faint hearted, but if you want abs like Davina, they are a must to do! Phew, hard work, but great for your abs! Stretch and Chill Out Section - This is broken down in to 5 minutes of cool down, which must be done, it is similar to last year's cool down with different variations, but works brilliantly - Mark instructs this part. The next part is the yoga/stretch session, again similar to previous DVD's, but lovely to do - Jackie instructs here. Finally and a new feature is a 5 minute relaxation/breathing meditation, which is just heavenly. This section is great to do on its own as well as after a workout if you have had a stressful day or just want to chill out. Great buy, I highly recommend it.

Fit in 30
It's not fit in 15, it's definitely 30, once you add on the stretches, there's no way it's only quarter of an hour from start to finish... but that's okay, I can just about fit one of these in while my baby takes her morning nap. There's a good range of exercises structured well within the time given but you will need to get weights, or improvise them (I use a full, large lemonade bottle). It's mostly very good, I love Davina, Mark and Jackie but I do wonder if Davina made a bet with someone to say the most annoying phrase possible during the chill out stretch section. You'll see.. Some of the stretches are a bit muddled when Jackie and Davina are doing the extra bit at the end and annoyingly there are a few errors which could have easily been fixed, so that's a bit slap dash on the editing front but on the whole I have been doing this for just over two months every day and I enjoy it and although I have now got the suppleness of a rubber band, I've yet to be transformed into anything close to fit but it helps me feel like I'm very slowly getting there.

Another great workout from Davina, Jackie & Mark - enjoy it as it is their last!
Firstly again I will say that I have owned nearly all Davina's workout DVDs over the years and it must be really hard to keep coming up with new and up to date workouts, but somehow they manage it every year! This year with Fit in 15 it is probably one of the most versatile workout dvds yet. You can either choose to do one 15 minute workout and a cool down or 2, 3 or all if you have the time! As a busy mum working full time this option is invaluable to me and means I don't have to sacrifice lots of family time to get a workout in. Secondly, if you think you are in for an easy ride because its just 15 minutes then think again! Each workout - Cardio, Arm, Legs and Core all incorporate a warm up period so it gently eases you in. Please make sure you do your cool down afterwards as you will really ache otherwise! In terms of each section the guide on the product description pretty much says it all but I would add that in each section don't expect just to work that body part, it still works all of you which is great again if you can only do 15 minutes. The Cardio, Abs and Chill out Stretch are led by Jackie and the legs and arms and cool down by Mark. Cardio is great - I HATE cardio with a passion, but even I can do it for 15 minutes and I wouldn't want to do it any longer than that! What's great is that it is never the same move, you work through sequence of moves so can't get bored and believe me you will be puffed after! I like to think I workout a lot and am fit and this still has me gasping for some water at the end. I do have a bone to pick with Jackie though - high knees at the start and jumping lunges at the end - hard work! Legs and Arms with Mark are what you would expect if you've done their DVD's before, Mark works you hard and doesn't let up. There are some cardio intervals too which are challenging and I would say this is probably my favourite section as you feel you are working all over. I was definitely aching the day after! Arms is hard too! If you are not used to it them start with 1kg weights and start moving up through the weights as it becomes too easy. I started with 3kg and it was tough. Core - Be warned if like me you secretly look forward to the core section as it is a chance to lie down then think again! The core workout incorporates lots of standing and plank work before you get to do a little bit of lying down. But again it is challenging, there is a move that uses lunges and twisting your arms - boy did my legs feel that one! Cool Down and Stretch - there is a 5 minute or so cool down with Mark which is the usual stretching and then Jackie does an extra chill out stretch for those who want a bit more zen in their lives! All in all I would say this is a must have addition to any fitness DVD collection, especially if like me you really haven't got time for 45-60 minute workouts every day. You could do 15 minutes each day or 30 -45 minutes 3 times a week. I know I will aim for at least 15 minutes a day and one the days I have more time fit another workout in too. I have heard that this is the last workout that they will be doing so a big thank you to them all for the DVD's over the years.

Love Davina but Disappointed This Time
I've loved Davina's exercise DVDs over the last 3 years. Last year's Intense has been my favourite by far - to me it's the best one. When I realised the formula for this 2014 DVD I was pretty excited and got it straight away. Unfortunately, I have to say I'm quite disappointed. The concept is great - 4 x 15 minute sections plus a cool down/stretch section and extra stretch. There's no warm up as each section starts off at a lower pace gradually building up. So the four main sections are cardio, legs, arms and core. You can do one 15 minute section if you choose and the cool down or a couple, or three, or all of them if you want in whichever order you like according to how much time you have/what you feel up to. On my first go I did the whole lot (exc the extra stretching) I liked the cardio section best, fairly challenging with pretty familiar moves and easy to follow. However, I did not like the legs section at all, I'm 45 and am fit enough to follow the Intense DVD very well, but the leg section here is challenging, not a bad thing of course, but it's all the jumps I hated, a lot of them are very high and there are a variety and a lot, I felt like I was jarring my knees and hips on landing and was worried I may injure my joints and I really didnt want to continue but I did the best I could. I could have done the lower option with Jacqui but I like to push myself. I don't want to do those again. The arms section gave a good workout, I could really feel the muscles working, the moves were a mixture of what we already know and a few new ones. I would do this section again. The core section, probably the most important to many of us, I did not like. There is a lot of time spent on moves that involve bearing weight on the wrists and elbow joints, (I am 9st, 5' 2") again I felt like I was going to injure myself, a heavier beginner might find these too difficult to persevere with (as they might with the jumps in the legs section) I was worried for my wrists and my elbows especially. There's only one lying on your back exercise. This whole section was a write-off for me, I was not at all comfortable with the moves. I love the abs section in Intense - best abs section ever (I just skip the elbow bearing bit at the end and do pelvic tilts instead, there's not that many, but there would be nothing left to do if you skip these in this new 15 min section - and they're at the start of the section). So there's only 2 out of the four sections I would do again - cardio and arms, not great if you want a full body workout. This could have been so good if the moves had been more considerate. Yes I like a challenging workout, but I don't like to feel worried I may do myself more harm than good because of the moves. I love the 15 minute sections but the legs and core sections need some consideration. Would I recommend it? Not for your everyday non exercise obsessed person working out a couple times a week. Maybe for the more dedicated/obsessed fitness fanatic. I'm trying to decide whether or not to return it, not sure if it's of benefit to me considering the cost and there are sections I won't use. I 'll be mostly sticking with Intense, it's nice to have a change each year though. It would be great if Davina read these reviews, I would love her to make some revisions to this DVD based on what actual users have said.

Pure Class........as usual
Is this work out easy? No Is this work out hard? NOT particularly! Davina' s latest DVD is based again on the HIIT concept. E.g high intensity interval training. Short bursts of high intensity, followed by short periods of rest. There is also a smack of Tabatta, HIIT, interval training and all over body conditioning. What's good? Good clear instruction. Davina' s usual inspiration and motivation I.e.she genuinely enjoys the work outs. The chemistry. What's not to like about the chemistry between Mark, Jackie and Davina? What's bad? Not a lot actually. These are, individually, short work outs and the rest intervals are actually a little longer than necessary. But overall this is a good work out. My main bug bear with Davina' s work outs is a minor one. But simple....it's the side you are working. Every other DVD I have gives 'mirror' instructions, so when they say right leg, they are actually moving their left leg. So they mirror the moves of their audience. So please remember that I'm working the opposite side to you! So when you say 'this side' and lead with what looks like your left, I lead with my left!! My wish list for Davina' s next work out is simple'..........mirror my moves in your instruction. There's some other minor issues e.g. Mark doesn't actually tell you what move to do in advance. (15 minute arms) other than to lift your arms. I've done this DVD numerous times and each time I find myself doing an upright row, when on the DVD they are doing a lateral move!! I admit I do get annoyed with the switches between 'this side' and 'the right side' ( even when it looks like the left side!!!) Summary - Davina (and team) delivers a reasonably hard work out. But gives you the ability to to deliver what is expected!!!!

A brilliant workout DVD
I love this DVD, can't say enough good things about it. Davina's a great presenter and very enthusiastic, she carries you along with her an makes you want to try harder. The fact that it's split into 4 separate 15minute workouts is what works best for me. I'm not a fan of long workouts when you can have just have much beneficial effect from a short, fast workout. The first workout Cardio 15, is very fast but you feel great after you've done it, and you can always take it at the slower pace you don't have to go as fast as Davina, it's what suits you. Then there's Legs 15, Arms 15 and Core 15...all equally great workouts to target different areas. On days where I have more time, I put cardio and one of the other workouts together and feel like I've had a full workout with taking half my day up doing it. There's a great stretching and relaxation section as well. The music is great and very energizing...and both of the other trainers with her bring their own style to the mix. Anyone can do this DVD, I'm 43 with two bad knees and haven't exercised for over 4months, but even I'm fine with it. Like I said you just go at your own pace. Fantastic DVD!!!

Brilliant - As ever!
I love all Davina's exercise DVDs, and this one is the best so far. I love that each section is 15 minutes, including the warmup. Jackie and Mark are as ever, on form with great advice, a bit of humour and easy to follow routines. Davina is brilliant as usual, throwing herself into the exercises, smiling (mostly!), encouraging and yet sharing our pain as well! I love the Cardio and Core sections - the Cardio is just fab, and I usually do it twice through if I have time. The Core is stealth like - you feel you are doing something, but the next day you KNOW you have done something! So, very satisfying all round really, can't go wrong with this. If you want something quick and easy, this is for you (just do a single 15 minute section), and if you want something more intense and longer, this is for you (do as many of the 15 minute sections or repeat them). P.S the music is really good as usual too, it really lifts my mood when I'm working out!

BUYER BEWARE - I'm not rating the workout, I'm rating the fact that because this is an import, you cannot play it on your North American DVD player. The only way I could get it to work was to use my computer and change the DVD default location to the UK. Not very convenient.

I have many of Davina's dvds and I love this one too, although I don't like the leg section as much as the others, very jarring on the ankles!
