Its main purpose is to remove all previously applied shoe polish or/and glassage. **Q: Would it remove kiwi wax stains from CAT shoes? looks like wax penetrated into leather** A: I think it has an organic solvent in it so it should remove wax well. Acetone would work as well but is harsher and will also remove the factory finish **Q: will it remove accidental application of black shoe polish on tan shoes** A: I have not tried it but suspect that it will provided the black polish doesnt contain dye. (I think most polishes are just wax and coloured powder?) - I have an idea that shoe creams are more likely to contain dye. In any case, renomat is fairly gentle and very effective otherwise at removing old polish. & wax build up on the surface. **Q: Can you use this product on suede shoes?** A: No . It's good for what it's meant for. Removing old waxes and resin left on leather by cheaper waxes or just a built-up of wax over time. You only need a small amount to do the job. On a piece of soft cloth like t-shirt cotton, work it into the sections of the shoe until the cloth is covered in the old wax. Once done I usually give the shoe a good wipe with a clean cloth and give it a while for the last of the solvent to evaporate. The Saphir products seem to work well. They're expensive but they really make a difference to my shoes.
