Maximum temperature isn't as high as for steel or cast iron. The aluminium should withstand the heat - not sure about the non-stick coating if exposed to prolonged high temperatures. Besides your takoyaki would be well and truly toast. Made in China, instructions in Japanese, but no temperature rating - I reckon good for 250C. **Q: Where is it made ?** A: Ours was purchased 7 years ago, so at the time it was still made in Japan......try Japan centre or other specialised Japanese shops and ask if they have made in Japan ones.
