Not as effective as originals in controlling the vibrations

These seem to be good quality, although time will tell how long they last. They nicely fit my Rode SM2 shock mount and seem strong enough to secure the heavy Rode K2 microphone. I used the smaller one for the top elastic and the longer one for the lower. This nicely lowers the mic in the shock mount a bit so it's a little less top-heavy. It also means I have 3 pairs of elastics left for future replacement.

Two of the smaller elastic bands in this set were used to replace worn out bands on a CAD GLX2200 studio microphone shock mount at our church. The bands appear to be of better quality than the original bands that came with the microphone mount, being slightly thicker and more robust. They were easy to install once I figured out a simple procedure to lace them onto the shock mount. They are a good value as there were two complete sets of small 3.4 inch bands and two complete sets of larger 4.6 inch bands. We still have a spare set for the CAD microphone, and we have two sets of the larger bands for eventual use on some other microphones we have on hand.

If you do any recording with microphones of the sort pictured in the photo - and I KNOW I do - these little bands are just the thing you need for repairing shock mounts. The bands have held up well and, believe it or not, stringing it all together really isn't as hard as you might think. Recommended. A sold buy.
