Condition.
Arrived on time and for a large and comprehensive dictionary, the price is good . It is large , measuring 11 inches by 8 and a half across. It is heavy in weight, but for lovers of dictionaries , that probably would not matter.

Handy and well laid out
Really handy dictionary and easy to navigate. The pages are well organised and make it quick to find words. The definitions are clear and helpful, making it good for both school use and general reference. The paperback format is also convenient to carry around. Good value and does exactly what you need.

Worth buying
I bought this for my husband, and he has enjoyed using it as he prefers to have a dictionary in the house most especially when he is reading instead of having to google search the meaning of a word on his phone which he thinks is a distraction while reading.

A weighty tome indeed !
This book is enormous. I suggest a few gym sessions before you attempt to lift it off the shelf. If you need to flatten something or keep a door open it’s absolutely ideal. As for being a dictionary well, yep, it’s all in there !

Excellent dictionary
My 7 year old daughter asked for a dictionary as the Christmas gift from Santa. Ok, strange request, but I thought at least she wants something useful.. so I got her dictionary for kids (with pictures) and I could tell from her expression that's not what she wanted.. sometime later I sat with her and we were looking for a proper "adult" dictionary and when she saw the cover she yelled: "that's the one we have in our school - can I please have this one". This time she was over the moon with it. She uses it quite often too - especially for her homework, and to find the word she doesn't understand.

I use the apocalypse as the reason for purchasing physical books these days. The Oxford Dictionary is a great one to have. Also, there’s an Oxford Etymology of English which is a fascinating read when one is curious about where the heck some word came from. When the lights go out forever, I’ll enjoy flipping through these volumes.
