At work I use it for all 50 large fish tanks both marine, tropical and cold water as well as amphibians and water based reptiles with no problems **Q: does this filter also remove nitrates and phosphates?** A: The purpose of this device is to remove chlorine from the tap water filling the pond. It won't remove toxins in the water such as ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, you'll need a mechanical/biological filter system to do this. **Q: How is this compared to a 3 stage dechlorinator?** A: Expensive very fragile. Not good outdoors if frost expected. To be frank I have now purchased a large single stage filter for topping up pond. It’s convenient if you just want to connect to a hose and store afterwards. Be careful though I used mine twice and broke it on the patio. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/48209208-evolution-aqua-pond-dechlorinator-for-fish-ponds-activated-carbon-chlorine](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/48209208-evolution-aqua-pond-dechlorinator-for-fish-ponds-activated-carbon-chlorine) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
