Perfect little pump
Perfect little pump, I used it to pump out a water trough in the middle of a field, used my cordless drill on the pump and it worked well. Moved 40 ltrs of water in around 7 minutes.

Does the job
So far so good. Just finished using it to water the garden, again. Feels robust, arrived as promised in good condition. Easy to set up on a 19mm piece of plywood (my drill seems a bit narrower than some so needs a packing piece so that the drill and pump spindle are in line. You obviously need to provide the hoses but also the hose connectors (2 male that fit on to the pump inlet & outlet and 2 females for the connecting hoses. Connect up, switch on the drill and wait for the water to flow - it quickly self primes. I use two long hoses - one from the water source and the other is my garden hose reel. With these I can do front, side & back of the house. Drill works in forward mode, not reverse. Flow is not jet force but sufficient to water plants and use a spray hose. Tip - spray hose and some connectors have a valve to stop the water flow. This will overload the drill if left too long as the water flow may stop but the drill won't until switched off. So switch drill off first.

When you first try this out, do not wear any socks, because they will only blow them off.....I was amazed at just how good and easy this little pump is, tbh, I didn't think it would work this well...I am still looking for my socks... Super super purchase incredibly well made and fabulous price....*******

In-situ radiator cleaning
I have cleaned radiators in the past either by draining them individually or draining the whole system and then removing them. In either case, there is still a bit of black sludge that can get onto the carpet even if I take a lot of care when the radiator is lifted off the wall. In addition, large radiators are heavy and need two people to lift them even when empty. There is also a risk that the valve joints can leak when the radiator is reinstalled. I bought this pump as an experiment to see if I could clean the radiators in situ - effectively a DIY powerflush - and it worked very well. This version has ¾" BSP threads so I used washing machine hoses that have ¾" BSP connectors and rubber washers that make a good seal and had no problems priming. In addition, the hoses I used had a gauze filter to catch any particles. The radiator must be isolated from the system by closing the TRV and LSV, counting the exact number of turns for the LSV. The LSV has to be opened the same number of turns after cleaning to maintain the system balance. With the radiator cold, release the residual pressure by opening the bleed valve and then remove the air vent completely using a spanner. Use a towel or dish to catch the small quantity of water. Then remove the blanking plug at the other end, also catching any water. If water comes out under any kind of pressure, the TRV or LSV are not fully closed. Three hoses are needed. One goes from a bucket with clean water in it (half full is OK in my experience) to the inlet of the pump, the second one goes from the outlet of the pump to one end of the radiator and then the third one goes from the other end of the radiator back to the bucket. To connect the hoses to the radiator, I made up adapters using a ¾" x ½" BSP hexagonal bush and ½" BSP hexagonal nipple (available from Toolstation or Screwfix). Most vents and blanking plugs are ½" BSP but check first. I mounted the pump on a piece of wood and used my Black & Decker 550W variable speed drill. This has high torque at low revs so easy to get the pump moving. It has a chuck that uses a key and there's a cut-out on the casing for the pump spindle to get the key in. I used a small block of wood to keep the drill shaft in line with the pump spindle and exactly horizontal. Shortly after starting the pump, any black sludge will be flushed out but then recirculated. After a few minutes of pumping, empty the bucket and repeat as many times as necessary using clean water until the circulating water is consistently clear. I preferred doing this rather than use running water so I can see when the radiator is clean. The variable speed drill enables a pulsing action by increasing and decreasing the speed. Once the radiator is clean, the vent plug and blanking plug can be replaced. Its worthwhile to have some new fibre washers or `O' rings just in case the existing ones get damaged. Open the TRV and LSV then bleed the radiator. The inhibitor will need to be topped up. The system will benefit from a chemical clean first to loosen up the sludge. This method will then allow the individual radiators to be flushed. I cleaned all the radiators the same day. Each radiator took me around 30-45 minutes with assembly/disassembly and pumping. I then refilled with new inhibitor. No mess on the carpets, no leaking valves and I did the whole house by myself. We have 12 radiators.

Flush before use, otherwise excellent
I've used this type of pump before. It's very good, it's used to drain water from water butts and so forth. Pumps from ground level to 1.5 metres height with no difficulty at all. One tip if you buy one - flush it out with hot water before use as there is some grease inside the pump body. It does advise this in the instructions. Otherwise you'll get a small film of oil on the water you're pumping like I did. Not really an issue for me, but if you're using this to pump drinking water etc you won't wont the minor contamination.

Great pump and gets to work quickly. The fact you can attach to click and go hosepipe makes it convenient and versatile with good flow.

Worked well to pump kerosene into tank
Bought to pump in some heating oil from a carry can into our tank. Used with a drill and some hose. Worked brilliantly.

No priming required, good flow and solid build
This pump has a lot of varying uses, and the ability to connect standard outdoor hose/tap fixings to the unit make it incredibly easy to alternate between jobs. This is installed as part of my outside tap and garden water feed pipework, and can be fixed to one of the posts near an outside tap. We have aproximately 100 metres of outdoor underground pipework used to feed various beds and taps, and to avoid any posibility of frost damage over the winter causing unknown leaks, we intend to drain the system. This pump makes light work of the job, simply connect to the outside tap nearest the isolator, open the pipework at the other end and fix a drill to this unit and start pumping. It fits easily to any drill cordless or otherwise and pumps a decent volume of water without any priming. Be aware there is a fair amount of grease inside the unit, and I would not advise using this to pump any kind of drinking water. If pumping dirty water, ensure that whatever pipework you connect to the inlet has a filter to prevent any large debris from entering the unit. Pros: Solid build quality No priming required Good flow rate (depending on power/speed of drill used) Cons: packed with grease, so unsuitable for pumping drinking water (without appropriate third party filters etc) Hose connectors not included, but as the pump is versatile for many uses, these would only be useful if your specific use involved these.
