I've had it in the past where I've been too slow on the draw and the moment has passed.** A: I don't leave the clip to spring back. I hold it permantly open with a tye. The gorilla hook fits onto that fine. **Q: Can it take a full roll of 2 inch Gaffa or Gorilla tape?** A: Unsure of this as I'm off work at the moment with a broken ankle, I'd say fully open about 3 inch distance from top point of the hook and opens up lower to a larger area .hope this helps **Q: Does this product fit the snap on impact gun** A: Unsure of this one , we have a 18 volt hilti impact gun for scaffolding which is heavy duty with plenty of room to get the gun in and out with ease.
