I needed a cheap overdrive to put some guitar down on a few demos, watched a few reviews and went for the Donner. It's exactly right for what I needed, a tubey, bluesy OD. It's solidly built, with a tiny footprint and sounds great. It's pretty quiet in terms of unwanted noise, even when you crank the gain up, and there's plenty of gain on tap. It's possible to push beyond overdrive into full-on fuzz territory should you wish. Additionally I've found it works pretty well on bass too, for a Big Muff type fuzz without losing much bottom end grunt.

For what you’re paying, it’s a brilliant little pedal. Has a nice crunchy drive sound. And all the adjustments make it very versatile. I’ve recently purchased a boss super overdrive which is better but there’s not a crazy difference. My donner overdrive, is currently used as a boost pedal and works perfectly!

Incredible value for money! I've just formed a little rehearsal Blues band at the tender age of 68 so I'm old enough to remember the 60s and70s ! This pedal produces exactly the sound I was after....smooth and just gritty enough . I use a variety of guitars - Strat , tele and a Gibson deep bodied semi through a valve amp and this pedal sounds great for all of them . I don't know how they do it for the money . I sold an original Colourtone fuzz box c 1971 for hundreds of pounds a couple of years ago and this is at least as good! Don't hesitate if you want an authentic British Blues sound for nowt .

It will give you some more gain options and obviously level control. Tone dial can be used to brighten up or dampen the mids and highs a little. At 11 o'clock ish on the dial it just about offers a clean boost. It's a little noisy. Nothing special for an overdrive and OK for the price.

Very good pedal, tried a few in my time been playing 47y. Very good price for this beautiful little pedal. All the components are very good, and well made and robust. The sounds I managed to create using just this pedal were quite astounding, from warm blues tones to heavy distorted there's a demon in that little blue box! vibes. I can't recommend this pedal enough, for the price its really good. Used it at five gigs now and its a pleasure to use. Thank you again and take care.

Je cherchais une Boss Blues Driver d'occasion voire un clone. J'ai finalement opté pour l'achat de cette Donner alors que Mooer semblait de meilleure réputation. Je ne regrette pas mon achat, j'ai le son que je voulais, çà sonne très bien (pas cheap du tout), c'est plutôt un bon clone de la Boss et elle semble même moins brouillonne avec beaucoup de gain. Très bonne pédale d'overdrive full range, low and middle OD.

Only one effect in use. You can not blend them. You can not not change them with your foot. But most of the effects sounds good for the price. Well built.

Ich habe ein kleines Overdrive-Pedal gesucht, mit dem ich meinem Clean-Gitarrensound etwas "Drive" zugeben kann. Das Pedal erfüllt dies hervorragend. Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und der Klang für mich perfekt. Sehr schön ist der kleine Hebel, mit dem man zwischen warmem Blues und etwas mehr "Crunch" wählen kann.Das Pedal ist sehr wertig und noch gut bedienbar. Die kleinen Drehknöpfe für Level und Tone sind schon sehr fummelig, wenn man im Stehen spielt, aber noch erträglich. Der Fußschalter ist ordentlich und hat einen schönen, gut spürbaren Druckpunkt. Ich find's Klasse!
