It would be better if the power button actually functioned, instead of it being purely for decorative purposes. It confuses my toddler as there is a separate switch at the side to put it on/off. **Q: My one year old is obsessed with my real vacuum, even when it's off.. do u think this would be a good purchase?**
A: I purchased this for my little grandson when he was about 3 and also very obsessed with vacuums.  This toy is nice because it has a switch that will allow smaller children to watch the colored balls to swirl around.  When they get big enough to actually use it, it actually will pick up small Styrofoam balls.  (Don't let them vacuum up dust and dirt - it will clog the machine - we tried it)  I would suggest purchasing colored Styrofoam balls on Amazom for him to vacuum up.  (The white ones are a bit too heavy and don't do as well as the colored balls.) You will only need one package - they go a long way!

**Q: Are you able to remove the canister from the vacuum?**
A: No, just the little tray under it that catches the dirt. It actually picks up dirt. Great product.

**Q: Can you buy replacement parts**
A: Not to my knowledge

**Q: Is it good for cleaning toys like sucking them up so you can put them in a bucket**
A: the toy vacuum makes noise like it's running, but does not really have the power to suck up anything. I guess that's a good thing. It's a toy.

Light portable and so realistic in appearance. It’s great that it can be turned on to whizz and make the hoover sound. It occupies my little boy regularly for good periods of time. Only critic is the strength of the plastic. My kids are rough but not excessively and the tube stick part of the hoover is already cracking. I wonder how long it will last before cracking so much it is not safe to use. It should be designed to be tougher considering it is for toddlers. Overall happy with the product.
