its not a spray. it has a plastic stopper which is a friction fit. aye.

Can anyone describe the smell to me please

Yes, it is the same as Old Spice a traditional man's after shave that has been available for many years. It is the only after shave that doesn't cause any skin reaction unlike other aftershaves. I have used it for at least 30 years and just smells like a very pleasant spices.
