I struggled with the gastrointestinal side effects - constipation, dark stool etc. These have less of a side effect profile and I’ve found them easier on my stomach. I think they still cause a degree of constipation but this is hard to tell if you’re pregnant anyway! Haemoglobin has stayed stable. Remember to take with vitamin C to promote absorption. The one negative I’d have to mention is that they smell bad!!
