This is a great outdoor timer from BG Electrical, used to control some outdoor lights around a outdoor sitting area. They are completely weathproof, look good, if a little bulky and very easy to wire up. Excellent if you need a socket & timer for use outside where its likely to get wet.

This seems like a well made product, but it is let down by a hopelessly inaccurate time clock. It loses an hour per day! I am going to have to remove it, and exchange it for another one. What's the point of a timer if it can't keep time?! Hopefully it is just a one off dud one, and I was unlucky.

Good build quality product that does exactly what I required, turning off a pond pump overnight. Waterproof, easy to set up and has been reliable for several months.

I was really disappointed with this timer plug. It worked fine for the first few days, but within a week it stopped working coming to a halt every night about an hour before it was supposed to restart. The clock didn’t keep time either which completely defeats the purpose of having a timer in the first place. I tried resetting it multiple times, but nothing fixed the issue. Overall, it’s unreliable and not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone looking for a dependable timer plug.

I purchased this to control our garden lights and it does a great job. I also put a photo electric cell into the circuit so that you have more control i.e. the poser goes rom the timer to the photocell and then this decides whether the light is dark enough for garden lights to turn on. The timer has three setting of on; off and timed and that is very useful. Also if you turn the timer off then turn it in the lights come on momentarily so this allows you to check whether you have wired up correctly. Very good quality, very weatherproof and bvery easy to wire up. Highly Recommend

Purchased one of these units about 6 months ago and it was simple enough to setup from a wiring and timing perspective. Worth noting that the instructions advise you set the timing pins then move the dial to set the current time. In reality it's easier to set the time first, then set the pins when you want it to turn on. Anyway, I've been using this for 7 hours a night to charge a hybrid via a 10a granny charger and the charge rate has gradually declined from 2.2kWh to 1.4kWh, to breaking completely. Seems it's not robust enough for sustained heavy loads unfortunately (even with 3a of headroom).
