If you drive your car frequently, and your 12v battery is acceptable, buy this device. If you don't plan on driving your vehicle frequently physically disconnect this device from the 30 pin 'iPod' connector.I purchased a used car and wanted to add a bluetooth connection (would be lots of effort). It just so happened that the previous owner had wired an iPod connector, in the glovebox.This unit was the 3rd of 3 - the first two models from different vendors *did not work* consistently.
