Review: Enjoyable for my 2.5 year old! - My 2 and 1/2 year old son loves this series of books. I bought all of them because I think the concept is great: teaching kids the right thing to do. My son loves to colorful images and silly things that happen in them. They are short books and do not have too many words on the page, which makes them nice and quick for reading time. I tend to read 3-4 of these each night at bedtime. At this time I can;t say they are 100% effective at behavior changes, but having him listen to the story does allow him to hear what is "right." I assume that it will sink in eventually! I will come back, and edit, once I can determine if they make a difference in my child. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story provides many opportunities to ask questions and interact with your child. There is a page where the elephant is eating different fruits, and I ask my son questions like, "Where are the bananas?" or "Where is the watermelon?" He enjoys pointing to the pictures and finding the answers. Then he starts asking me questions too, which makes reading even more fun and engaging. This is a wonderful interactive book that helps build vocabulary and communication skills. He loves it so much that his parents now have to include this in the reading cycle every single night and he Always tells them, 'one more time'. He says Gigi and Poppop in place of their names so this book is about us,which makes it even more special now.
