Review: Good disk, but rope needs attention - This is a nice disk, well weighted and seems sturdy. After reading other reviews, I made sure to check the "rope," which is not as sturdy. It was very loosely tied on. I ended up reattaching the rope using a clip-on hook, with good knots and tape. I also added my own measurements with a sharpie pen. I'm glad I checked, otherwise I fear my disk would have ended up at the bottom of the lake. But the quality of the disk itself is good, and the price was very reasonable, so I'm giving it 5 stars anyway. It does a good job though it is just a bit smaller in diameter than most Secchi disks I've used, so not exactly certain how comparable its results are with a larger one (that you may be able to see a little further down). Also, would have been great if it came with a marked rope.
