Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - Xbox One

This new entry in the Wolfenstein series is one of my favorite shooters in a long time. The power felt in the weapons, the awesome graphics and a story that has a lot of heart and laughter. BJ is back but with some new characters that add a lot to the game. The writing is fairly well done and for a first-person shooter, they do a fair job at mixing up the gameplay throughout. There has been some concern about difficulty but I haven’t felt as much of it, but I did find a rhythm after playing the New Order and Old Blood. I actually use cover a lot and only do melee kills when there is like one guy left. It may not work for everyone but that’s what I do. The only downside I have for the game is that it does moves very fast. I wasn’t as much of a fan of Doom because of that but I DON’T see that as a real negative to the game. More of just something that I want to make sure people are aware of. The last aspect that I want to highlight is the environment and location. This has been something that I have really enjoyed seeing over the last couple years. Wolfenstein does a great job at making you feel immersed in this Nazi occupied America/world. It’s dark, gritty but intriguing to see their take on this dark version of, what could have been, our history. +The Story has come a long way and the new character are fun and real +The environment is jaw dropping while making you feel the dark ideology of Nazism +The gameplay is as fluid as it gets and gives you some of the most intense moments a first person shooter can dish out Overall, I think Machine Games and Bethesda did a great job at executing a phenomenal, single player experience in a time where people are nervous about the future of these story driven games. I think this is more than just a sequel, it feels more like a whole new game and experience that takes advantage of a story that has been started a few years ago. If you like first person shooters and love gritty, raw action, grab a copy of this game. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my thoughts!

Wolfenstein 2 in 4k is the best way to experience its storytelling and action. Get in there guns blazing and take down the Nazi tyranny over America!

Here you get to learn about BJ's backstory not to mentioned how and why he became the man he is. Hard as it may seem, the great 'terror-billy' was at one point an innocent child like any of us and my god does it show his backstory really well, even if its just minor glimpses. It also recaps the events from new order so if your new to the game, it'll catch you up pretty quickly. Now there are some idiot reviewers saying this is SJW garbage and all whites are Nazis, and BJ is ret-conned into being jewish, the game is a measly 2 hrs, and that is praises communism. I am here to say that is complete lies! Number 1, there are many white protagonists including a female Nazi-turned resistance fighter. Of prominent note is Seth Roth, Super Spesh, Fergus or Wyatt depending on who you choose to save, Horton, Anya, etc. Number 2, Judaism is a religion, not a race so BJ can be POLISH AND JEWISH, not that they state whether he is or isn't merely that his mom practiced that faith. Number 3, the game is long. I couldn't stop playing it, putting in at minimum 4 hrs a day before finally completing it on the third day and this was playing it on Bring them On! Difficulty, essentially medium. It is challenging and engaging. Finally number 4, IT DOES NOT PRAISE COMMUNISM AT ANY POINT! How people can say this when one of the secondary characters was merely a socialist, which is not the same as communism, I will never know but people are incredibly stupid. In short if you loved The New Order, then you will absolutely enjoy this game.

Overall, this was a great 1 player experience, a rarity among the overload of multiplayer and online only games out there. The story was great, picking up immediately after the events of the first game. The characters were much more in depth and all have their own individual personalities that drive the story even further. On the other hand however, there are some parts of the story that kind of bog the experience down a little, but not that much. The game play is fantastic. In my opinion, it's much more difficult than The New Order, and I died..ALOT, but it was a challenge and it made me explore different ways to get past a certain point where I was stuck. It made it much more worth it when I completed the game. Game ran smooth, but I did encounter quite a few bugs here and there. My only major gripe was how they changed the dual-wield system. While I do enjoy being able to mix and match weapons, reverting back to a single weapon or switching a single weapon on one specific arm is very tedious and attributed to quite a few of my deaths. The weapon swapping is too slow for the pace of the game. Hoping that next time they can make it more fluid and streamlined. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game, and the slew of challenges and collectibles and other hidden secrets makes the replay value high, and the DLC content "Freedom Chronicles" episode zero was enjoyable. If you played the first game and/or you enjoy a straight up first person shooter adventure that's just one player, I just have one suggestion. Get this game and GET PSYCHED!

Quite possibly the worst game I’ve ever played. No, it’s not the gameplay, but the content itself. The game opens with some sort of scene where you learn the origin story of your main character. During one scene, you are hiding in a closet, while your father beats he main characters mother. Then, you are forced to murder you family dog. Not for kids. Not for anyone who has any moral compass whatsoever. A first person shooter simulating attacking Nazi’s is one thing, but this other stuff they’ve added is quite disturbing.

I did the naughty... I played this game without ever playing it's prequels. Even still, being new to the series and playing this one didn't diminish my experience and I enjoyed this game. I enjoyed the story and the game play, It's gory, action packed and is interesting from the start. It has replay value as I started on Bring it On difficulty for my first play-though, which I went up one level of difficulty for my next, and also experiencing the other timeline. The very first segment of game-play gets me emotionally fired up and sets my mood for obliterating the axis and it's allies.

On its own merit it is a good game, but when compared to the last 2 Wolfenstein games it is inferior, not nearly as fun and much shorter. The action and gun-play is not as fun, but it is still enjoyable. The system to change weapons is much worse than the old games. The story is o.k., but at times it is very stupid. A nine-month pregnant woman is shooting two assault rifles at once... this is very dumb. In real life that would likely harm the fetus. One thing that bothered me a lot is that if you read the documents found in the game you find the writers like to prop up communism as a wonderful system, and communists as heroes. Even one of the DLC's for the game has "Joseph Stallion" as the main character's name. That's a reference to Joseph Stalin, a dictator under the communist USSR that killed tens of millions of his own people and worked tens of millions more to death in labor camps, the numbers have risen over the decades as more mass graves have been found. All told, last century communism killed way more people than died in WWII and the events surrounding it, communists aren't heroes at all, they are also oppressors. The writers correctly vilify one group of people, but lazily angelicize communists. The writers should have done 20 minutes of research on all the horrors of communist countries and how communism actually works in practice before they decided to hold up communist systems as an ideal.

This game is great. It was delivered fairly quick, and I keep it with my collection of Xbox games. Would definitely recommend.

En lo personal creo que es mucho más difícil comparado con Old Blood y New Order, **La historia tiene varias escenas bastante FUERTES, no lo recomendaría a gente que se impresione fácilmente.
