Therefore, the outside diameter of the bulkhead is 1 3/8”. Unfortunately, neither of our 1/2” or 3/4” bulkhead will work on your pool unless you increase the diameter of the hole from 1.25” to 1 3/8” hole. The problem was emptying it every week to clean it; we'd have to stand on the edge to smoosh it down to get the water to run out until it was empty enough to dump. This plug has made it so much easier! All we have to do is unscrew the plug then go back inside for a while. When we come back out, it's ready to clean and refill. It was very easy to drill a hole in the side of the pool, just make sure you get it as low as you can for maximum emptying.
