Especially for the price, this works great! The 5 &3 year olds played with it as much as their dads, and everyone had a good time! The charge held for an entire day at the beach, and overall functioned well.

This was a gift for my grandson and he loves it. However it isn’t very sturdy and a small cable broke off right away which is frustrating because it won’t work without it. His dad is hopeful he may be able to fix it. If not then it’s very disappointing for my grandson because it won’t work without it. So he loved it while it worked but it broke very soon after he started playing with it.

Great construction of this RC excavator. Cane with 2 batteries for the controller and 2 rechargeable batteries for the excavator. Birthday boy turned 6 and with just a few trial runs he was a whiz with his new RC earth mover.

Do not buy. Broke after a few days of use My son was soooo excited about this for his birthday. Then while he was playing with it it made a clicking sound and fell over. It broke. After 3 days.

Bought for my 3 year old who LOVES tractors. This was a hit for the whole family even my husband. It seems pretty tough, it is more on the plastic side though. We haven't been able to use it outside yet but have around the house! It's a cute toy for the price!

Let’s get this out of the way: - Only the shovel and the battery compartment at the top are metal. Everything else is plastic. - Not sure about longevity and whether it can actually dig in a sandbox - need to try it out. My concern is that the pistons are plastic. - You can’t adjust the volume, there’s just on/off. It’s very loud when it’s on. I don’t think we will use it with volume on. - The remote looks a little cheap. Now, on to positive stuff: I paid $28 for this guy. For the price, I’m quite satisfied. It’s an appropriate size for my toddler. The details are decent and the movements are smooth and consistent. I had fun with it myself! For an almost 3 year old, it’s good enough!

This excavator is awesome. Works perfectly, however I would not recommend for younger children. Need some patience and coordination to maneuver it and use the bucket. However it is very fun and definitely worth the money. I am not overly sure how the tracks will work when trying to turn on rough terrain though. We have only used it on smooth surfaces.

very good, batteries last a good while, warranty support was excellent, however, there is a design flaw, the wires for the bottom will break over time, as they get wrapped around when kids keep turning the top.

In itself it's a great toy and my kids would have played a lot with it in the backyard with some loose dry soil on the patio. But as the gears and gear box are made of plastic, they broke quickly, after maybe 30 minutes. The shovel part is made of I believe aluminum so that's good, and the system is simple. I fixed it once but not well enough as it's not quite working anymore again. I would require some metal gear and gearbox. One more thing, the upper part only rotates on the tracks manually, there's no motor to do that, which is too bad. It would be an excellent toy if it was more durable.
