Amazon Made Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote Pro with remote finder, TV controls and backlit buttons (compatible Fire TV device required)

I'd been wanting this recently and decided to wait for the prime day deals to get the remote and I'm really happy with it. The remote feels nice in hand, has a nice premium feel too and feels much better than the original remote that comes with the regular firestick. I have the 4K Max at the moment and the remote was very easy to set up, literally took a couple of minutes and then done. I too got the apps button at the bottom as opposed to the Disney Plus one that sometimes people get. To be honest I did initially want the Disney Plus button however I do much prefer the apps button really simply because I'm forever going into there to open the "Background Apps and Process List" app which you need to regularly do to shut off apps running in the background, which can also slow down your firestick, so this button being there is much more handy. Not everyone subscribes to Disney Plus anyway, so it makes sense. Plus, you can assign the number 1 and 2 buttons to any apps you like, so you could always assign this to Disney Plus too if you wanted to. I have assigned my buttons to UFC and Discovery Plus (TNT Sports) and they work well and really nicely, they open up really fast too. From what I can gather you can only assign apps that are officially downloaded, so I don't think third party apps will work with these buttons. I don't use them anyway, as I like to keep my Firestick as new and how it should be however I know a lot of people use this so it's worth noting that you may not be able to assign these buttons to third party apps (check online to see if you want to do this). The find my remote feature is very handy, I tried this straight away through my Echo Dot and Alexa said something about might take a minute to do it for the first time however it played the tune before she even said that on my Echo Dot so that's how fast it was, really good lol The light up feature is also really nice!! This is going to look lovely at night, specially when you're trying to find the buttons on your remote at the time, so I really like this a lot too. The buttons are also very responsive and really good, they do feel so much nicer than the original remote and although they're in slightly different places due to the extra buttons we have, it's not really anything that confuses you from your previous remote, it's actually better!! For example the volume buttons are now to the left which is so much better than being in the middle to set the volume on your TV, it just feels better placed there and also works really well too. There is the additional settings button to go straight into there which is nice, the mute button is more or less the same place just a little lower under the volume this time, which again makes more sense and the live TV button, which I never use however I know many people might do so this also is in a really nice place for that. There is also an up and down button which is really nice too, for example if you use Pluto TV you can use this to navigate the channels while you watch them, so it kinda works like that with those kind of things, it's really nice. I haven't tried the Bluetooth thing with the headphones as I don't use them to watch TV with however this also is a really handy feature, specially if you have a significant other and are wanting to watch TV late at night without disturbing them but again, it's a really nice feature that I'm sure will be handy for a lot of people also. All in all it's a really fantastic remote and I absolutely love it!! I would say it's definitely worth buying in the sale as I do think it's a little overpriced when not on sale, specially when you consider you can buy a full firestick for that price however if you get this on the regular sales, it's absolutely worth it 100% and even at full price I wouldn't be overly disappointed but it just feels right at the price it's at in the sale for me, and I think it's a really, really nice item!! I would definitely recommend you buying one when you can, you'll love it and it's a great little remote to go with your firestick also!! While it does have some great new features, I am disappointed with Amazon's marketing of the product. The promotional material showed the four buttons on the bottom of the remote as blank, but when I received the remote, the buttons were already printed with four specific apps, including Amazon Music. While the disclaimer "apps may vary" is included in the product listing, it is not explicitly clear and I feel somewhat misled. That being said, the new features of the remote are great. It has a backlight that activates automatically when the controller is moved, making it much easier to see in dark environments. It also feels more premium, with a slightly different material composition and a slightly heavier weight. Another fantastic new feature is the ability to use any of your Echo devices to find the remote if it goes missing. Simply ask where it is and the remote will emit a loud alarm, making it easy to locate. The buttons on the remote have also been changed, with additional buttons for quick access to settings and the app library. There is also a headphone output button and two customizable buttons that can be used to launch any app you have installed. These can also be used for smart home control, but it’s not clear how this is set up, and took me ages to find out (you have to speak the request to the remote first, which then allows you to assign that voice command to a button). Overall, I think the Amazon Voice Remote PRO is a cool new device with some useful features. The backlight and ability to find the remote are particularly useful, but I am concerned about the battery life with the added features. It would have also been nice to have wireless charging built in. Despite my misgivings, I would still recommend the remote for its convenience and added functionality

I got this remote to replace the basic remote my Fire Stick 4K Max came with, and it is just perfect for me. I watch a lot of late night TV and sometimes like to switch the lights off, so the fact that the buttons illuminate when the remote is picked up is a perfect feat for me. The voice control in the remote works just as perfect as ever, it easily recognises what I say even when I sometimes slur my words either when I'm really tired, or due to consuming certain kinds of drinks (you know what I mean) The remote works just as snappy as ever too, button presses register instantly just like they should. I love the fact that I can ask Alexa to locate the remote if I lose it (which happens about 716261 times a day in my flat). The remote produces a beeping noise that isn't loud, but it's very easily heard due to the pitch of the beep noises. The "1" and "2" buttons can be programmed to do pretty much anything you want, from opening apps that aren't displayed on the buttons below these buttons, to executing frequent commands you would usually ask from Alexa. One feature these buttons are lacking, is the ability to program them to perform IR functions with your external audio equipment. The sound bar I currently have, has a subwoofer and the volume of the sub can be adjusted separately to the volume of the actual sound bar and I was hoping to set the buttons on the fire TV remote to adjust subwoofer volume by programming them from the original remote. If Amazon sees this review then maybe this feature might be considered. Another addition to the Pro remote is the fact that there's a headphone button which brings a menu up to give you the option to connect to recently used Bluetooth audio devices or take you to the Bluetooth menu to pair a new device. I'm pretty happy with my purchase and I'm going to be making sure I always have the latest pro remote from now on.

Worth paying extra for this remote. Being able to have two programmable buttons is very useful. Love that it lights up so you can see what you're pressing in the dark. Also can ask Alexa to find the remote and it gives off a sound.

Update #1 Six weeks old, and it has started to do random things like turn my TV back on and scroll through menus on its own. I changed the batteries, but this has made no difference. I am using this with an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Amazon Support talked me through resetting and then repairing the remote to my Fire TV Stick, which worked for a few hours, then the issue started again. Was offered a return and refund, but as it is during warranty and beyond the 30-day return window, replacement is not an option, which is not good as the remote has increased in price since purchase. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review The programmable buttons are restricted to which apps you can pair with them. On mine, the cursor ring around the centre button when pressing the select/ok/centre(whichever you call it) button, the ring has a rough edge and can be felt when catching it with your thumb, not exactly great. Overall, the functions of the remote are mostly what I would expect, not perfect because of the limitations of the customisable buttons. The build, however, is not so great. Can't be hassled with repackaging and arranging a return for replacement, to possibly discover the replacement is the same. Why are companies obsessed with restricting customisable items? They are not customisable if they are limited to what can and can't be used. Quality control needs to keep an eye on products more closely because rough edges can be problematic for some customers.

A definite improvement on the standard Firestick remote. Very solid, I like the back light. Very nice.

Ho acquistato il Telecomando vocale Alexa Pro e, dopo alcuni giorni di utilizzo quotidiano, posso dire che fa esattamente quello che promette. Design e materiali: Comodo in mano, ben bilanciato e con tasti solidi. Si percepisce subito una buona qualità costruttiva, non sembra il classico telecomando leggero e fragile. Tasti retroilluminati: Funzione che fa davvero la differenza. Al buio si illumina automaticamente, comodissimo la sera o di notte senza dover accendere luci o andare a tentoni. Tasto cuffie: Molto pratico. Con un solo tasto si collegano le cuffie Bluetooth, ideale per guardare la TV senza disturbare. Una funzione semplice ma fatta come si deve. Controllo vocale: Il microfono risponde bene e capisce i comandi senza dover ripetere le frasi. Basta tenere premuto il tasto Alexa e parlare normalmente, anche con un po’ di rumore intorno. Configurazione: Collegamento rapido e intuitivo tramite Fire TV/app Alexa. In pochi minuti è pronto all’uso, senza complicazioni inutili. Uso quotidiano: Reattivo, preciso e affidabile. I comandi arrivano subito e l’esperienza complessiva è più comoda rispetto al telecomando standard. Difetti: Nulla di rilevante. Ja, die Fernbedienung ist teuer. Ja, die Fernbedienung könnte bei höherwertigen Fire-TV Geräten - Wie z. B. dem Fire TV Cube direkt mit beiliegen. Aber sie ist nicht beigelegt und ist meiner Meinung nach ihr Geld auf jeden Fall wert! Ich habe anfangs sehr gezweifelt, ob ich so viel Geld in eine neue Fernbedienung investieren soll und habe lange gezögert - Inzwischen bin ich aber sehr froh, sie gekauft zu haben. Die Details warum erläutere ich im Folgenden: Wie ich auf dem ersten Bild zeige, ist die Fernbedienung ein wenig größer als die Fernbedienung, die standardmäßig mitgeliefert wird und sie ist auch etwas schwerer - Nicht viel schwerer, aber etwas. Dennoch fühlt sie sich direkt vertraut an, wenn man die "alte" gewöhnt ist. Die zusätzlichen Funktionen der Fernbedienung sind grandios. Wie im Video gezeigt wird, leuchtet die Fernbedienung auf, sobald sie Bewegung erkennt. Das ist gerade abends sehr zu begrüßen, wenn nicht so viel Licht im Zimmer vorhanden ist. Man kann dadurch alle Tasten super gut lesen, auch in der Dunkelheit. Das absolute Highlight bleibt aber dennoch die "Finden"-Funktion. Für Leute wie mich, die gerne mal ihre Fernbedienung verlegen, ist diese Funktion Gold wert. Wenn man Alexa anspricht und sagt "Finde Fernbedienung", dann ertönt aus der Fernbedienung ein Ton, mit dem man diese schnell wiederfinden kann. Es ist unglaublich hilfreich, da die Fernbedienung so sehr schnell wieder entdeckt werden kann. Außerdem gibt es noch zwei programmierbare Tasten, welche selbst belegt werden können. Die Programmierung dabei ist denkbar einfach gestaltet. Diese können verwendet werden, um bestimmte Apps zu öffnen oder im Falle der Prime Video App können sogar auf bestimmte Bereiche direkt zugegriffen werden - So z. B. die Watchlist. Ich benutze diese, um sofort YouTube öffnen zu können und sofort auf die Watchlist auf Prime Video zugreifen zu können. Das funktioniert beides einwandfrei. Eine zusätzliche Hülle zu kaufen ist empfehlenswert, diese sind nicht allzu teuer und es gibt auch lumeszierende Hüllen, wenn man diese bevorzugt. Leider liegt nichtmal eine einfache Hülle mit bei, dies finde ich aber nicht weiter schlimm. Die Fernbedienung ist auch so relativ griffig und fühlt sich gut an in der Hand. Trotz des relativen hohen Preises für eine Fernbedienung kann ich diese also definitiv empfehlen.

A remplacé ma télécommande livrée avec le Firestick Principales différences ( pour moi ) - rétroéclairée - touche casque Bluetooth ( très pratique , à reconnu mon casque Bose et mes AirPods Pro 1ere gen - on appuie sur le bouton , il met a l’écran les casques enregistrés , on clique dessus et ça marche ) - qualité : bien meilleure que celle livrée avec ( plus compacte et plus lourde ) , matériau de qualité au toucher , très facile et confortable à utiliser - touche de raccourci 1 et 2 : on peux les associer à une application présente sur le Firestick ( je l’utilise pour ouvrir Photo et Canal Play ) , peut aussi reprendre nos derniers commandes vocales … - touche préenregistrées : Prime / Netflix / Disney / Amazon Music - possibilité de définir l’entrée ( la source ) quand on allume le Firestick - on peux la faire sonner si on a perdu la télécommande Positif - allume la TV et le Firestick en même temps , et gère aussi le son de la barre de son et/ou de la TV - longue portée ( cela fonctionne à 15m en champ libre ) - qualité meilleure que celle livrée de base - facile à utiliser , confortable et rétroéclairée - pas de bug , rapide - bouton Alexa : quand on a des objets connectés ou des demandes sur internet à faire … c’est top ( exemple , si vos caméras sont intégrées dans Alexa , il suffit de dire »Alexa , montre ma caméra » … , elle s’affiche en direct plein écran - je peux aussi fermer mes volets roulants , allumer mes lumières , fermer ouvrir mon garage ou mon portail ( via IFTTT ) - et bien sur poser tout type de questions via le bouton Alexa sur internet , la réponse est écrite sur l’écran et orale en même temps Inconvénients - prend le contrôle sur votre TV ou barre de son uniquement pour l’allumer / l’éteindre et augmenter ou baisser volume … mais ne permet pas de changer de source AV ( on peux juste définir la source TV quand on allume avec la télécommande ) , ne sert pas de télécommande universelle mais ce n’est pas son rôle 1 clic rapide sur bouton Alexa , fait apparaître « maison connectée » et tous vos produits connectés . TOP Perso je l’ai découvert par hasard … Pour finir et malgré le prix , je l’ai gardé … avec grand plaisir …. Simple , utile et de qualité
