You could argue that you could make something similar with an ESP32 and some inexpensive components but this kit is good to go straight out the box. The custom PCB is nice quality. The terminals are firmly attached. You can power 12v components straight from the board itself. Having never worked with alarms previously u wasn’t sure what to expect but it was relatively simple to migrate across. Only modification required was to remove the EOL resistors from the PIR sensors. The existing cables had unused wires as well as tamper sensors which I plan on reusing to add some extra sensors in the future. Setting up in Home Assistant was a breeze. I used Alarmo which is a great piece of software. WiFi connection is OK so far. A couple of dropouts but nothing bad. Running a new network cable next week. The board would benefit from an IPEX connection for an external antenna. My only complaint is that there is little support for a physical wired keypad. I would have liked to reuse my existing terminal rather than rely on the phone. A few things I need to change in the panel but this is the current state.

Used this to upgrade my old wired alarm to a smart system using Home Assistant. A bit complicated at first, but now all is working well. A great product.

My 23 year old wired alarm system was giving us some issues and the supplier had gone out of business. Additionally it was of course dumb - you had no clue if you weren't within hearing distance if it was going off. Having a smart alarm using my existing wired detectors was very appealing and Konnected had complete solutions and extensive online documentation to aid the DIYer. I took lots of pictures of the old system circuit board and wiring and then untangled it, took more pictures and then gradually moved the circuits over to the Konnected system - straight forward just don't rush it and I tested it as I moved pairs of circuits over. It worked faultlessly! Had to check wiring for the siren as UK ones are wired differently to US but they have comprehensive guidance on their website and support got back to me very quickly (same day) on a couple of questions and were 100% correct each time. Konnected integrates with a number of smart home apps and, as an Android phone user, I chose SmartThings which is very versatile and simple to use - one 'button' press to arm for night time, away or disarm with configurable responses for intrusion events covering siren, lights, cameras, sound and messaging. Automation routines can be layered on top too. Overall a brilliant system that I recommend to anyone who doesn't mind sorting out a bunch of existing wired alarm cables in their existing alarm box.

This works very well and is a fairly easy migration to make. I'm a basic DIYer but this a very do-able project for most people. Lots of useful videos etc on-line but in reality it's mostly common sense. This is so configurable that I now have a host of new options that I can add to my system, a system that is bang up to date. The size of the new board has also helped me to greatly reduce the ugly, large old boards casing and periferals which is also a real bonus. I am already being asked to convert friends and family's alarms, this is so impressive and very easy to recommend.

Great Idea to replace old alarm works well had to use youTube several times to get information, would have have been better with leaflet explaining basic setup with links to getting started

I bought this alarm panel to replace my WIFI based security system, my bad neighbours were continuously blocking my WiFi, my alarm system was always reporting offline. This smart alarm panel operates exactly as advertised, it's very well thought out and very well constructed. It is easy to install, just follow the instructions. You can use it on it's own or you can integrate it into other software. I'm using it with Smart Things, I currently have Garage, patio and entrance doors wired to the panel, but going to add motion sensors and the Konnected garage door opener.

The Konnected board is everything and more. This is honestly the best product I have purchased in a long while, and I am 100 percent satisfied with both the hardware and the overall experience. The setup was straightforward, the integration with my existing system worked flawlessly, and the performance has been rock solid. What really sets Konnected apart, though, is the support team. Their responsiveness, technical knowledge, and willingness to help made a huge difference and turned what could have been a complicated project into a smooth and enjoyable one. The Konnected alarm panel pro works great. I'm using the SmartThings app to control the alarm system. Note: there is a quirk when setting up SmartThings ... to set an siren/alarm under 'Set Responses' , use the 'Turn on lights' icon. Tap the turn on lights icon and then a page will come up showing the siren. Select the siren and tap 'Done' at the top of the page .. and then tap 'Done' again on the next page. Konnected support help me with this issue.

This has been on my wishlist for a long long time (seriously like years) and decided to finally pull the trigger. Our old system had been turned off for over a year because it was failing and beeping so decided to go this route. I really had nothing to loose. I was a little worried as their hasn't been much updates on this device over the years, and the app itself wasn't rated very well at all. Good new is everything is legit in 2025. I watched the YouTube install video and then labeled all the wires and installed it and powered it via POE and everything worked! Took me maybe 45 mins total. I used the konnected app to configure, name and update the device. That was the last I used the app. Then went over to Home Assistant (HA) and it found it immediately (dont use the legacy konnected integration use the ESPHome integration) and was able to get everything working! I believe the key is the Home Assistant part as it allows remote connectivity and create rules. Then I built a dashboard in HA of all my sensors using my floor plan and using AI (Claude) to generate the code to create boxes where my windows and doors are and change colors based on status (open or closed). I created alerts and even created weather based alerts if windows are open, also using Claude to help with the process. I would highly recommend this if you have an old wired security system as it gave new life to something already wired throughout the house. I then went around and removed all the controllers from the walls and all the extra parts, cleaned up the walls and painted them. Debated on putting some tablets in their place as there are kits to convert the power to USB. I decided I would just use my phone/computer/tablet and never really use those hard mounted tablets. Ended up being a great solution and I and wifey are very happy as its very clean and the dashboard is way more valuable then the old system ever was!

Easy to install in an existing wired panel. Much more convenient and flexible when using SmartThings. Interface is simple. Not 5 stars only because the board I received was defective. The Konnected support team was quick to send a replacement.
