Peruvian product with selected fruits and of great quality. The chicha morada is a drink originating in the Andean region of Peru but whose consumption is currently widespread at the national level. The main input of the drink is culli or ckolli corn, which is a Peruvian variety of purple corn that is widely cultivated in the Andes. Due to its high content of anthocyanins (Cianin-3-glucose or C3G, its main colorant) and phenolic compounds, it has functional and bioactive properties; As well as a high antioxidant capacity. For example, the Nagoya University School of Medicine (Japan) has shown that purple corn pigment prevents the development of colon cancer. It also lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, promotes good blood circulation, protects blood vessels from oxidative damage, improves microcirculation, is anti-inflammatory, promotes connective tissue regeneration and promotes collagen formation.
