## Overview

PARKS by Keymaster Games is a beautifully illustrated tile-based board game for 1-5 players aged 10+, where you hike through modular seasonal trails, collect resource memories, and visit iconic US National Parks. With 30-60 minutes of immersive gameplay, it combines strategic resource management, solo and multiplayer modes, and stunning art to deliver a unique nature-inspired experience.

## Description

PARKS is a celebration of the US National Parks featuring illustrious art from Fifty-Nine Parks. In PARKS, players will take on the role of two hikers as they trek through different trails across four seasons of the year. While on the trail, these hikers will take actions and collect memories of the places your hikers visit. These memories are represented by various resource tokens like mountains and forests. Collecting these memories in sets will allow players to trade them in to visit a National Park at the end of each hike. Each trail represents one season of the year, and each season, the trails will change and grow steadily longer. The trails, represented by tiles, get shuffled in between each season and laid out anew for the next round. Resources can be tough to come by especially when someone is at the place you’re trying to reach! Campfires allow you to share a space and time with other hikers. Canteens and Gear can also be used to improve your access to resources through the game. It’ll be tough to manage building up your engine versus spending resources on parks, but we bet you’re up to the challenge. Welcome to PARKS!

Review: Beautiful game with great game play! - This is a superb game! The rules are simple and fairly easy to pick up, though there may be thing or two you miss the first time you try. The basic premise is that each player controls two hikers moving down the "Trail" (a modular series tiles which are arranged in random order each round) attempting to gain resources needed to visit a Park card, which are worth victory points. The artwork is the big draw for this title - the oversized, tarot style Park cards are absolutely gorgeous and immediately surmise the essence of each National Park they portray. But surprisingly, the gameplay holds up as well! This is a unique, well thought out, and challenging stategy game. And it turned out to be a pretty competitive, at least among my family haha! It's no "Twilight Imperium" in terms of complexity, but it does have some interesting mechanics which are fun to explore. "Parks" is a game that can be enjoyed by nearly any person, of any age, of any interest level in board games, nature, art, and/or the US National Parks. I also highly recommend the expansion "Nightfall."
Review: Love it so much, best gift to get nature lovers! - Got this as a Christmas gift, for my bestie who loves deer. It's really really good, very perfect for nature lovers, or gamers who like cozy games, it's very relaxing the cards are stunning, they teach you things on each of them, it's really fun and wonderful. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aesthetically Beautiful with Nice Mechanics
*by L***U on 24 March 2023*

The pieces (and the box) are designed beautifully. The gameplay is fun too and easy to learn and explain. There's some competitiveness involved, but mostly you are just trying to score the most points by being as efficient as you can. After some point it becomes a bit repetitive, but still a nice experience.
