Snapped the CD drive into this enclosure, plugged it into my Mac and within a few minutes was able to rip my CD into Apple music. Review: Has the 7 + 6 sata built-in - I dont normally write reviews but since this product doesn't have many and there are no pictures, I decided to upload some for future buyers. I bought the enclosure to convert an old DVD drive from a laptop. As another reviewer mentioned, the tabs are delicate when trying to open. The plastic is pretty soft since the tabs now have dents when using a screwdriver (as suggested) to open it. No need to buy any extra cables like SATA or 7 + 6 cable since it's built into the enclosure. Included is also a USB to connect to a laptop. Works well for me.
