I love this book! I just received it yesterday, and it’s so easy to read. Love how the author is very unedited and accurate. This book is not only a great refresher, it really helps me apply the art of prescribing. I also enjoy the catchy mnemonics as well to remember important side effects, drug classes, and other pertinent information. Great buy! Review: Best book out there for teaching physician assistant students who shadow me - I am a psychiatrist who teaches physician assistant students. This book is hands down the best one out there for teaching psychopharmacology. The reading is interesting, provides the perfect level of detail (*everything* you need to know, without getting bogged down with unnecessary detail), and the mnemonics for just about every drug are extremely time-saving (i.e. you don't have to come up with your own mnemonics when studying!) I strongly recommend this. Lastly, it was published in 2017 so it is extremely up to date (unlike the texts I used in my own psychiatry residency program, which have not been updated since 2008!) It provided a good level of detail for the graduate student in human services (counseling, social work, psychology) who needs a quick but quality survey of psychopharmacology. There are also review questions to help with learning.
